Obama's Lowlights (5/14/10)

The National Enquirer – They have reported that Obama “cheated” on his wife. Remember, this is the National Enquirer, but they were right about Edwards.

BP Oil Spill – Obama conveniently blames the slow federal response to BP. Unfortunately, for Bush, he could not blame Katrina. This will be one of the Democrats rallying calls as we move forward to the 2010 midterm elections – offshore drilling. However, they too are dependent on oil.

Immigration Reform – While thousands took to the streets to protest the Arizona law, an Arizona border deputy was shot. Seventeen illegal aliens were apprehended after the shooting. It is believed the shooting was tied to drug smuggling. And yes, there was more violence associated with these rallies than any Tea Party protest.

Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) – While the financial market plummeted, executives of the oversight committee (SEC) were too busy reviewing pornography than doing their jobs. Thus, it begs to reason, why is Wall Street being reformed, but the SEC is not? Simple, it is more convenient to blame Bush.

Moody’s and S&P – The bond rating firms are coming under fire for their role in the financial crisis. They gave their highest ratings, AAA, to mortgage investments called Collateralized Debt Mortgages (COD), which went belly up.

Nuclear Secrets – Barack “Naïve” Obama will be releasing classified Pentagon information about our nuclear arsenal. This is to show the rest of the world the U.S. is committed to keep its end of the nuclear treaties Obama has signed. This certainly was not the type of transparency we expected from this administration.

Time Square Bombing Attempt – It has been determined that the car bomb attempt was a terrorist effort and the man is custody. And kudos to the Obama administration for calling it a terrorist attack instead of using their political correct nomenclature “manmade disaster attempt”.

The Economy – The consumer spending index was up 0.6% in March, which is a great sign for the economy. The economy added 290,000 jobs, but the unemployment rate rose to 9.9%.

Generation Y – Experts expect that this generation of present day 20 year olds will be the first generation to accumulate less wealth than the previous generation. This is testament to years of liberal rule and policies that are destroying the greatness that was once America.

Election 2010 – Wisconsin liberal David Obey will not run for reelection. And what’s worse is that Democratic turnout for some of the state primaries has “fallen off a cliff”.

Freddie Mac – They are requesting another 10.6 billion in taxpayer bailout money. Too bad they are exempt from financial reform!

Greece – The U.S. taxpayers are funding 6.8 billion of the Greece financial bailout coming from the International Monetary Fund. The dire situation in Greece is rightly causing global market unrest.

SCOTUS – Obama’s choice to replace Stevens is Elena Kagan. Kagan is a liberal with no record, so it is difficult to know where exactly she stands on certain issues.
