Occupy Movement - The Cook County State's Attorney's office charged Sebastian Senakiewicz, 24, of Chicago, with falsely making a terrorist threat. Mark Neiweem, 28, of Chicago, is charged with attempted possession of explosives or incendiary devices. Two more activists have been charged with crimes tied to the NATO summit, one who wanted to blow up a Chicago bridge.

Religion - Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), in a statement applauded 43 dioceses, hospitals, schools and church agencies for filing 12 lawsuits around the nation saying the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandate violates religious freedom. In a new web ad team Obama has released portrays the future and dreams of young American girls as unattainable unless they have mandated birth control coverage. In other news, Bill Maher referred to Mormonism as a cult. What’s worse, more and more news outlets are beginning to question Mormonism – the NY Times and MSM are leading the way.

Planned Parenthood – In a tweet, the organization wished everyone a “Happy masturbation month! We’ve got lots of information on masturbation.” Wonderful!

Afghanistan – The United States’ military will withdraw from Afghanistan by 2014.

Taxpayer Money - President Obama gave a press conference at the NATO Summit in his hometown of Chicago and made it a point to let taxpayers know they were paying for his hotel room, (and the rooms of hundreds of secret service agents too) instead of staying at home in Chicago because it, "stimulates the economy." His house was only 15 minutes away....

ObamaCare – Health and Human Services has hired a PR firm to promote ObamaCare at a cost of 20 million to the taxpayers.

Airline Security - The Senate Appropriations Committee moved forward with legislation to increase airline passenger security fees, beating back a GOP attempt to keep them at current levels.

Obama's Lowlights (5/28/12)

Greece - Greece may be forced to leave the euro-zone if the country refuses to implement spending cuts to get its budget deficit under control. In other news, Greeks withdrew almost $900 million from banks in a single day out of fears that their currency will be rapidly devalued if Greece leaves the euro and returns to the drachma. The country is in a continued political vacuum following an inconclusive election earlier this month.

Iran - Iran and the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency began their second day of talks over suspicions that Tehran might have tested atomic weapons technology. The UN has been unable to gain access to Iranian facilities thought to be used for its nuclear program.

Bigotry – Obama called Americans bigots on the view when explaining why his reelection bid is close "When your name is Barack Obama, it [election]'s always tight".

Obama Budget – After the House rejected his budget 414-0, the Senate followed suit – 99-0.

Wisconsin - A quarterly report released today by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) shows Wisconsin created 23,321 jobs in 2011. Wisconsin employers have now put more than 33,521 people back to work so far under Governor Walker’s leadership.

Debt Ceiling – Democrat House (Clyburn) and Senate (Boxer) leaders stated this past week they do not see any reason to have a debt ceiling limit at all.

Crime - Puzzling break-ins over the last month at the offices of at least three House members and several committees have U.S. Capitol Police gumshoes working to find a pattern and the culprits, with missing items ranging from cash and expensive computer equipment to autographed baseballs and alcohol.

Maryland - In Maryland, more than 300,000 residents earning more than $100,000 a year will pay higher income taxes to fund record spending. Compare the state’s new 8.95 percent rate with neighboring Virginia’s 5.75 percent top rate.

Post Office - At a news briefing, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said the agency's mail processing network had simply become too big, given declining first-class mail volume and mounting debt. It will now consolidate nearly 250 plants as originally proposed, including 48 this summer, but will stretch out the remainder over a longer time frame in 2013 and 2014.

Elizabeth Warren - Two of the possibly plagiarized recipes by Elizabeth Warren, said in the Pow Wow Chow cookbook to have been passed down through generations of Oklahoma Native American members of the Cherokee tribe, are described in a New York Times News Service story as originating at Le Pavilion, a fabulously expensive French restaurant in Manhattan.

Boston - City Hall bureaucrats, “executive assistants” and other pencil-pushers enjoy free commutes from as far away as Falmouth and Nahant in taxpayer-funded city cars — including many who get sleek sedans as nothing more than a lucrative job perk, a Herald review found.

Obama's Lowlights (5/24/12)

France - France's new Socialist president owns three holiday homes in the Riviera resort of Cannes. Francois Hollande, 57, who “dislikes the rich” and wants to revolutionize his country with high taxes and an onslaught against bankers, is in fact hugely wealthy himself.

California – “California's budget deficit has swelled to a projected $16 billion — much larger than had been predicted just months ago — and will force severe cuts to schools and public safety if voters fail to approve tax increases.” Why is the only solution to increase taxes? Californians are getting what they deserve after electing Brown back into office.

Forests – This from the LA Times “Today, the hottest and thirstiest parts of the United States are best described as over-forested. Vigorous federal protection has stocked semiarid regions of public land with several billion trees too many. And day after day these excess trees deplete a natural resource that has become far more precious than toilet paper or 2-by-4's: water.”

Newsweek – Newsweek referred to Obama as the “first gay president”.

MSNBC – Liberal host Tamara Hall kicks off her program Washington Posts Tim Carney for disagreeing about the Romney bullying story. I guess we can say Hall bullied Carney.

Obama Campaign - Mitt Romney, a job-killing economic "vampire"? That's the message of a new ad by President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. In other news, Obama is banning the use of cell phones at his fundraising events. He does not want anyone to record a potential gaffe.

Illegal Immigrants - A federal deportation program that scours local jails for illegal immigrants will expand into New York and Massachusetts, despite objections from the Democratic governors of those states. In other news, Florida election authorities are examining about 180,000 people who they say may not be U.S. citizens but are registered to vote in the state, an official said this past week.

Obama / Reagan - The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. This is true, I checked! But it does not end there; Obama has put his name in the biography of every President since Coolidge (except Ford). Who would have thought Obama accomplished so much even before he was born.

Commencement Speakers – In a survey of commencement speakers at the nation’s top 100 universities, 71 were liberal and only 10 considered themselves conservative.

Elizabeth Warren - The "genealogist", Lynda Smith, who offered Elizabeth Warren's only strand of proof that she has any Native American blood in her lineage turns out to be an amateur who now admits the "evidence" she thought she'd collected does not actually exist. Hence, Warren may have 0% Cherokee blood and not the miniscule 1/32 Smith originally claimed.

TSA - An illegal immigrant worked undetected at Newark Liberty International Airport for 20 years, and used a dead man's identity to acquire a top position in airport security, officials said.

Obama's Lowlights (5/21/12)

West Virginia - Over four in ten West Virginia Democrats voted for a man imprisoned in Texas over Barack Obama in the state's presidential primary. The felon actually carried at least ten counties.

Brian Terry – Congress passed the Brian A. Terry Act to name the Border Security Station in Southern Arizona after Terry who was killed with a AK47 used in the Fast and Furious Program.

Post Office - The financially struggling U.S. Postal Service sought Wednesday to tamp down concern over wide-scale cuts, revealing it will seek to keep thousands of rural post offices open with shorter hours.

Gay Marriage – The President finally came out in favor of gay marriage. In the past, Obama had openly admitted he struggled with accepting gay marriage. What’s worse, Obama injected his daughters into his reasoning for coming out in favor of gay marriage. Make no mistake; everything Obama does is for a one reason – campaign contributions to get reelected.

Arizona - Federal authorities (led by Eric Holder) said they plan to sue an Arizona county sheriff (Joe Arpaio) and his office over allegations of civil rights violations, including the racial profiling of Hispanics.

The Occupy Movement – The new DC Occupy office space, provided by SEIU, is promoting vandalism because they say it is not the same as violence.

Federal Budget - The GOP-controlled House has passed legislation to replace a looming 10% cut to the military budget with cuts to domestic programs like food stamps and health care.

Mitt Romney Scandal – The desperate Left has not been able to find any dirt on Romney so they tried criticizing the way the Romney family carted their dog around on vacation. Since that gained no traction, now they are claiming that Romney bullied a gay student in high school in 1965. Reports by liberals have since been revealed as factually incorrect by the family of student Romney supposedly bullied.

EPA – Congress is pushing for the right to vet and choose EPA officials.

Green Energy - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering loosening regulations on the killing of bald eagles, the national bird of the United States, to accommodate the development of wind energy sources.

Elizabeth Warren - According to Penn’s 2005 “Minority Equity Report,” it too identified Warren, who taught there from 1987 to 1995, as a minority. Warren was also considered a minority when she was both a student and professor at Harvard. No worries for Warren since she has a few 99 percenters Matt Damon and Ben Affleck holding campaign fundraisers for her.

Tax Code - Eduardo Saverin, the billionaire co- founder of Facebook Inc. (FB), renounced his U.S. citizenship before an initial public offering that values the social network at as much as $96 billion, a move that may reduce his tax bill. Renouncing citizenship is becoming common due to the unfair and convoluted U.S. tax code.

Oil Reserves - “The Green River Formation--an assemblage of over 1,000 feet of sedimentary rocks that lie beneath parts of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming--contains the world's largest deposits of oil shale,”Anu K. Mittal, the GAO’s director of natural resources and environment said in written testimony submitted to the House Science Subcommittee on Energy and Environment.

Obama's Lowlights (5/17/12)

Climate Change – Here is the latest study done by climate change scientists “Dinosaurs may be partly to blame for a change in climate because they created so much flatulence, according to leading scientists.” This is ridiculous!

Obama Campaign Ad – A new ad about the chief accomplishments for the administration first term fails to mention ObamaCare. Odd how Obama’s campaign left out his “signature” legislation – maybe they know the Supreme Court is going to rule it unconstitutional.

Negotiating with Terrorists - The United States has been secretly releasing detainees from a military prison in Afghanistan as part of negotiations with insurgent groups, the Washington Post reported this past week. An official had this to say on the subject “Everyone agrees they are guilty of what they have done and should remain in detention. Everyone agrees that these are bad guys. But the benefits outweigh the risks.” If the benefits outweigh the risks, then why all the secrecy?

France – This past week, socialist French President Nicolas Sarkozy lost to mega-socialist Francois Hollande. Hollande vowed to increase taxes on the "rich" by 75 percent, lower the retirement age and increase government spending. This is not good news for the Eurozone which is teetering on a financial collapse.

Georgetown University – Pro-abortion advocate and head of the Health and Human Services Department, Kathleen Sebelius, has been invited to speak at the Catholic university’s commencement ceremony.

9/11 – The trial of the suspected 9/11 defendants is underway at Guantanamo Bay. One of the female lawyers, Cheryl Bormann, is wearing a Burqa in court “out of respect” for her clients and requested all other women in the courtroom to do the same. It is a sad day when we are afraid of offending mass murderers.

Abortion – National Abortion Access, a non-profit organization, says every donation to end a life is 100% tax deductible.

Junk Food – Massachusetts has banned junk food from being sold in public schools which includes the cafeteria, vending machines, and even celebrations and bake sales.

Compassion – Paul Ryan made a great point this past week by saying “Stop measuring compassion by how much we spend”.

Bin Laden Raid - According to former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, a "highly lawyered" memo was prepared just in case the raid went bad, pinning the blame not on President Obama, who has since taken credit for the kill, but on the military.

Iran – Joe Biden blamed President Bush for Iran’s aspirations to build nuclear weaponry.

War on Terror – The war on terror is over according to top Obama advisors.

MSNBC – MSNBC uses children on Reverend Al Sharpton’s show to do a satire on Romney.

Election Results – There were some interesting election results this past week. North Carolina became the 31st state to adapt a law protecting marriage between a man and women. In Wisconsin, Democrats chose Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to run against Scott Walker in the recall election for governor. Here are some good signs for the GOP in that race – Barrett lost to Walker in 2010; over half of the people who signed the recall petition did not show up to vote in the primary; and finally, Walker who ran unopposed got more votes than the Democratic candidates combined. It will cost the tax payers 16 million dollars for this recall election.

Occupy DC - The Service Employees International Union, one of Obama's most vocal supporters among labor groups, is paying $4,000 a month for three offices the Occupy protesters will use for at least the next six months to plan future demonstrations, organize and host workshops.

Obama's Lowlights (5/14/12)

Economy – The economy added an anemic 115 thousand jobs in April, but unemployment still remained at 8.1% because the labor force decreased by 170 thousand people.

Campaign Contributions – The Obama campaign has refused to use the Address Verification System on contributions made by credit card meaning he could be accepting illegal contributions including those coming from foreign countries.

Elizabeth Warren – On why she classified herself as a Native American “I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am. Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off.”

Bin Laden – The group Veterans for a Strong America had this to say about Obama gloating over the Bin Laden kill "real heroes don't take credit."

Occupy Seattle – Protestors threw bricks through the home windows belonging to Mayor Mike McGinn.

DOJ - Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa has filed more than 60 pages of contempt charges against Attorney General Eric Holder for withholding documents over the Fast and Furious program.

Obama Campaign - The Obama campaign has a cringe-inducing propaganda slideshow called “The Life of Julia” intended to illustrate how the Obama Administration's policies will give government help to a young woman as she is educated, works, starts a family and retires. In essence, Julia is a parasite living off the wealth of others her entire life. Liberals, especially feminists, should be offended by this propaganda film – it is demeaning to all women. Also, Obama claims he officially opened his campaign this past week. That is hilarious, he has been campaigning and attending campaign fundraisers since he first took office. In other news, a campaign fundraiser with George Clooney raised 12 million dollars.

Russia - Russia’s most senior military officer said that Moscow would strike and destroy NATO missile defense sites in Eastern Europe before they came online if the U.S. pushes ahead with deployment.

Guancheng Chen - The Chinese government stated Chinese activist Guangcheng Chen could apply to study abroad “like other Chinese citizens,” Chen called Congress and requested free passage to America.

Global Warming – Leon Panetta had this to say when speaking to environmentalists “The area of climate change has a dramatic impact on national security. Rising sea levels, severe droughts, the melting of the polar caps, the more frequent and devastating natural disasters all raise demand for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.”

CalStrs - The California State Teacher's Retirement System (CalSTRS) is suing Wal-Mart in order to encourage corporate governance reform.

Gay Marriage – Biden commits Obama for gay marriage: "I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly, I don't see much of a distinction-- beyond that," Biden replied.

Federal Budget – It has now been 3 years since Congress has passed a budget.

Solyndra - CBS 5 found the building locked up, with no one around. At the back, a hazardous storage area was found. There were discarded buckets half filled with liquids and barrels labeled “hazardous waste.” The building’s owner, a company called iStar, claimed in court documents, “there may be serious environmental, health and safety issues” at the premises.

Fundraisers – Obama has officially held more campaign reelection fund raisers than every other President combined since Nixon.

EPA - Sen. Jim Inhofe's (R-OK) released a video they'd unearthed of an EPA regional administrator, Al Armendariz, breaking down his "philosophy of enforcement" by telling his staff to make examples out of environmentalist foes by "crucifying" them. Armendariz resigned this past week over the comment.

Forward – “Forward” is Obama’s new campaign slogan. If what Obama has been doing is considered “forward”, I’d rather go “backwards”.

ObamaCare – In a hearing this past week in front of the Education and Workforce committee in Congress, it became apparent that HHS head, Kathleen Sebelius, took the advice of Planned Parenthood over Supreme Court precedent in making her decision about the contraception mandate in the legislation. In other news, the House Ways and Means committee released this report summary: In total, the 71 Fortune 100 companies that responded to this inquiry could save an estimated $28.6 billion in 2014 alone by eliminating health insurance coverage for their more than 5.9 million U.S. employees (impacting more than 10.2 million employees and dependents covered by those plans).

Occupy Wall Street – They’re back, but does anyone really care anymore. This bunch of free loaders has already shown their true colors as being mostly made up of lazy bums. Protests started in San Francisco by vandalizing Valencia Street. Occupy Cleveland protestors were arrested for trying to blow up a bridge. In New York Occupiers sent “white powder” in envelopes to banks (scaring employees thinking it was anthrax).

Pelosi and Waterboarding - In his new book, “Hard Measures,” Jose Rodriguez reveals that he led a CIA briefing of Pelosi, where the techniques being used in the interrogation of senior al-Qaeda facilitator Abu Zubaida were described in detail. Pelosi denies she has been briefed on waterboarding.

Politicizing Bin Laden - Ryan Zinke, a former Commander in the US Navy who spent 23 years as a SEAL and led a SEAL Team 6 assault unit, said: “The decision was a no brainer. I applaud Obama for making it but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call.”

Elizabeth Warren – Warren used her supposed Native American heritage to get into Harvard Law School. Then Warren listed herself as a minority professor with the Association of American Law Schools from 1986 to 1995. It turns out Warren only has a fifth generation tie to the Cherokee Nation: Hence, Warren is 1/32 (3.1%) Cherokee! Does this really qualify Warren as a minority?

Afghanistan - While Obama was in Afghanistan he addressed the troops and made the speech about himself “You’ve got me in the house” he said. Talk about narcissism.

Nutella - The makers of the hazelnut spread Nutella were sued for misleading consumers to believe the chocolaty spread was a heath food. The suit was settled for over $3 million.

Native Americans - The United Nations is investigating the living conditions of the 2.7 million Native American living in the United States.

Afghanistan - Under a new agreement, the United States will help defend Afghanistan for at least ten years after Afghans formally take control of their security and U.S. forces are drawn down.

Immigration Law - From the tenor of the oral argument (Supreme Court on Arizona SB1070), it’s possible a ruling in the case may not fall strictly along ideological lines. Some of the court’s liberal justices, though expressing concerns about the Arizona law, wondered whether the state could be prohibited from checking the immigration status of individuals within its borders.

Regulations - The Midnight Rule Relief Act, H.R. 4607, follows an April letter from House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) that urged President Obama not to pass any "midnight regulations."

Student Loans – House Republicans have agreed to a proposal to keep student loan interest rates at 3.4% by paying for difference using 6 billion dollars from ObamaCare funding for chronic illnesses. Obama intends to veto this compromise.

War on Women – The wage gap between men and women has been outlined by liberals, but reports indicate that a lot more women work part time and therefore, fewer hours than men, which explains the gap.

Yemen – Obama has expanded drone strikes in Yemen against suspected terrorists.

Economy - More Americans than forecasted filed applications for unemployment benefits last week, a sign that the labor market has yet to strengthen. And what’s worse first quarter GDP growth was only 2.2% down from 3% the last quarter of 2011.

Random Drug Testing – A federal judge ruled that Florida governor, Rick Scott’s, law to randomly drug test government employees as unconstitutional.

Green Jobs – According to reports President Obama’s green agenda is responsible for sending both jobs and billions of taxpayer dollars overseas to fund “green energy” companies.

Romney Donors – The Obama campaign is maintaining a website which is being used exclusively to smear any high paying donors to the Romney campaign.

Bin Laden – A new Obama campaign ad suggests Romney would not have made the “gutsy” call to kill Bin Laden. This is a desperate campaign ad because it contains no facts and is merely hypothetical.

Education - In front of thousands of service members, Obama signed an executive order aimed at protecting veterans from for-profit educational institutions.

Obama's Lowlights (5/3/12)

Trayvon Martin - Alton L. Hayes III of Chicago was charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man this past week. This is what happens when the media incites racial tensions.

Climate Change - Writing for Forbes Magazine, climate change alarmist Steve Zwick calls for skeptics of man-made global warming to be tracked, hunted down and have their homes burned to the ground, yet another shocking illustration of how eco-fascism is rife within the environmentalist lobby.

ObamaCare - In an effort to prevent seniors from finding out how ObamaCare will gut their Medicare Advantage, the Obama administration is redirecting $8.3 billion to keep the program in place until after the 2012 election.

Van Jones - President Obama's former green jobs czar and communist Van Jones is now painting conservatives who believe the EPA is out of control as wanting to kill children for jobs.

War on Women - For $75,800, donors can attend the Obama-backed 18th Annual National Women's Issues Conference in Washington. Now this is a war on women – charging them a huge sum to have their voices heard!

Food Stamps – According to the latest CBO report food stamp spending has gone from 39 billion in 2007 to 82 billion in 2011.

Wasserman-Schultz – The DNC chair claims Romney wants to take away women’s healthcare.

NY Times - In an editorial recently published in the New York Times, editor Arthur Brisbane, calls on his paper to finally vet President Obama for the 2012 election.

Social Security - Those trust funds will now run dry in 2033, according to a report issued by the trustees that oversee the massive retirement and disability program.

Arizona - The Arizona Senate voted today to defund Planned Parenthood by passing the Whole Woman's Health Funding Priority Act of Arizona in an 18-8 vote.

Unions - The Senate Democrats, joined by Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), voted down the GOP-sponsored resolution of disapproval, thereby allowing the NLRB's rule to call for snap elections to stand.

Immigration – The Supreme Court heard arguments on the Arizona immigration (SB 1070) law this past week. They could render a decision in July.

Iran Sanctions – Israel’s Netanyahu on the Iran Sanctions "They're certainly taking a bite out of the Iranian economy, but so far they haven't rolled back the Iranian program or even stopped it by one iota. I mean I hope that changes, but so far I can tell you the centrifuges are spinning. They were spinning before the talks began. Recently with Iran they were spinning during the talks. They're spinning as we speak. So if the sanctions are going to work they better work soon."
