Obama's Lowlights (3/29/12)

Religion - A federal government decision to allow a Wyoming tribe to kill two bald eagles for a religious ceremony is a victory for American Indian sovereignty as well as for long-suppressed religious freedoms, the tribe said.

Yemen - Motorcycle-riding gunmen linked to al Qaeda shot and killed an American teacher in the Yemeni city of Taiz this past week.

Occupy 6 Month Anniversary - Dozens of police officers cleared Zuccotti Park where the Occupy movement was born six months ago and made several arrests after hundreds of protesters returned in an anniversary observance and defiantly resisted calls to clear out. Also, Michael Moore, who was once praised by the Occupy Movement, didn't receive the warmest welcome from this event and was called out for his hypocrisy: "Make way for $50 million Michael Moore everybody."

ObamaCare Expansion - Administration officials released a final rule governing student health plans. Under the final rule, students will gain the same consumer protections other people with individual market insurance have, like a prohibition on lifetime limits and coverage of preventive services without cost sharing. In the same way that religious colleges and universities will not have to pay, arrange or refer for contraceptive coverage for their employees, they will not have to do so for their students who will get such coverage directly and separately from their insurer.

Mexico Spring Break – Thirteen year old Malia Obama and her friend spent spring break vacationing in Mexico guarded by 25 US Secret Service agents as well as Mexican police.

Graduation Rates - The high school graduation rate was 75 percent in 2009, meaning 1 in 4 students fails to get a diploma in four years, researchers found.

Showdown - President Barack Obama blamed Fox News for his political woes in a private meeting with labor leaders in 2010, saying he was “losing white males” who tune into the cable outlet and “hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7,” according to journalist David Corn’s new book, “Showdown.”

Green Energy Government Loans - First Solar (A solar panel company got 17 million in stimulus funding) was shipping its own solar panels from Ohio to a solar farm it owned in Canada, and the U.S. taxpayers were subsidizing this "export."

Fundraisers – Obama held nearly 100 fundraisers over the past year, and Michelle held several dozen more.

Syria – Russia sent a military unit to Syria to help Asma al-Assad squash the rebellion and remain in power.

Food – Mayor Bloomberg (NYC) has banned people making home cooked meals for the homeless – because they are not healthy enough.

Military – Michelle Obama is asking military members to support her husband because of his pro military policies. Michelle failed to mention the Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched.

GOP Budget – The GOP released their budget proposal and not surprisingly the Democrats are demonizing it because it tries to address entitlement costs. Democrats are also using the budget to push their latest claim against the GOP: their “War on Women”. Since the budget proposal kills ObamaCare, it must be because conservatives hate women and their right to abortion and contraception!

Iraq – Violence continues to escalate in the country. Last week over 50 people were killed from 4 separate bombings.

Solar Panels - The U.S. Commerce Department announced tariffs on Chinese-made solar panels because they had benefited from unfair subsidies by Beijing.

Sackett v. EPA – The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Idaho couple who was fined by the EPA for building on their 2/3-of-an-acre that the EPA deemed protected wetlands.

Wall Street - President Barack Obama’s largest campaign donors last month included employees of Wells Fargo & Co., (WFC) JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), according to an analysis of Federal Election Commission records.

Obama's Lowlights (3/26/12)

The Bigoted Left – Breitbart.com is alive and well. Since the Left continues to demonize Rush’s dumb remarks about Sandra Fluke, Breitbart put together a film on Al Sharpton’s comments on “Chinamen” and “Homos” and Chris Matthews reference that Mitt Romney is from a Mormon “Cult”.

Secret State Dinners - After the dinner honoring Chinese President Hu Jintao last year, the Obama White House ended the practice of listing the name, year and appellation of wines served at such functions. In fact, no dinner information was disclosed for the David Cameron visit this past week. Yes, more transparency. Also, The White House extended state dinner invitations to more than 30 of President Barack Obama's top fundraisers to this event.

Afghanistan – American Marines were told to lay day their arms before a speech by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.

Gas Prices – Under pressure due to record high gas prices, Obama has created another government coalition to study the problem.

Regulation – From the Heritage Foundation “Both of the Bushes engaged in a lot of regulation, if you look at the record. But on present track, President Obama may be the most pro-regulation president we have ever had.”

Unemployment - States across America doled out $13.7 billion in "improper" unemployment payments last year alone, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Many of these payments were made to prisoners.

Obamacare - The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a report estimating that three to five million Americans every year from 2019 through 2022 will be forced out of their employer-provided health care plans.

Journal of Medical Ethics – Here is a quote from a new article in the journal “What we call ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled.”

Biden - Speaking to United Auto Workers members in Toledo this past week, Joe Biden sowed some more class-warfare rhetoric, criticizing the GOP candidates as protectors of the "privileged sector" and calling President Obama a man with "steel in his spine".

Obama Budget- According to the CBO the debt held by the U.S. government would go from 67% of GDP this year to 76% in 2022 if President Obama's budget is passed - or, in other words, from $10 trillion this year to almost $19 trillion.

Stephen Chu - Energy Secretary Stephen Chu is walking back a series of comments he made about the Obama Administration not having a goal of lowering gas prices, but of getting Americans off of fossil fuels and onto "alternative" energy.

Lake County Florida - The Lake County Democratic Party in Florida has been flying two "American" flags over its headquarters building, one of them the stars and stripes, the other stripes and Barack.

Student Loans - Students around the country gathered at the U.S. Capitol complex this past week to protest rising student loan interest rates, which are slated to double from 3.4% to 6.8% in July – Remember the government now controls all student loans – not those evil banks.

Afghanistan – We hear about every injustice where innocent Afghans are killed but no media outlets covered the incident when an Afghan soldier shot to death a 22-year-old Marine at an outpost in southwestern Afghanistan last month.

Cost of Living - The cost of living rose in February by 0.4 percent as gas prices soared.

China - China continues to invest in foreign countries. In 2011, China was the biggest investor in Germany's engineering and automotive industries.

Obama's Lowlights (3/22/12)

Afghanistan – Sixteen innocent civilians were killed by U.S. forces in the Kandahar province. President Obama called the alleged slaying of 16 Afghan civilians by a U.S. soldier "absolutely tragic and heartbreaking" and said that he is still "proud generally" of what U.S. troops have achieved in Afghanistan while working under "enormous strain." Really, generally proud, what an insult!

Israel - According to the British Sunday Times sources have said President Obama asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold off on bombing Iran's nuclear facilities until after the November 2012 election. After all, it is all about Obama!

DOJ – The Justice Department blocked a new voter ID law in Texas from being implemented.

Bill Ayers – The man responsible for bombing civil buildings during the 70s called Andrew Breitbart a “bomb-thrower of the radical Right”.

Sex Strike - The women’s group “Liberal Ladies Who Lunch” is putting together an unusual event, which it is calling “Access Denied: Sex Strike”. The event is scheduled to take place between April 28 and May 5.

Obama Approval - President Obama's approval rating has hit the lowest level ever in CBS News polling (41%), according to the latest CBS News/New York Times survey. In this poll, the President usually receives well above average results. The decline could be due to gas prices.

Super PAC’s - Three democratic super PAC’s are combining to create ‘Unity 2012’ in an effort to re-elect Barack Obama.

ObamaCare - President Obama's national health care law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to a new projection released today by the Congressional Budget Office, rather than the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Obama Budget - At $1.2 trillion, the federal deficit will be $93 billion larger than previously expected in fiscal year 2012, due almost entirely to the cost of a payroll tax cut , the Congressional Budget Office projected in its March baseline update.

Joe Biden – Biden criticized GOP middle class policies in front of millionaire liberal elites as they sipped on 10 thousand dollar wine and ate caviar.

Labor Unions - Unions plan to spend at least $400 million this cycle in an effort to keep Obama in the White House.

Obama's Lowlights (3/19/12)

Economy – The economy added 227 thousand jobs in February, but the unemployment rate remained at 8.3%.

Mike Malloy – The liberal talk show host had this to say about Andrew Breitbart’s death "God dam# you Breitbart I'm so glad you're gone."

Derrick Bell – In a video released by Breitbart.com, Obama had this to say about Derrick Bell when at Harvard “Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.” Bell is a proclaimed Marxist and racial conspiracy theorist similar to the words preached by Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright. Bell is on record saying “I live to harass White folks!”

Buy Green – While pushing his green energy policy, Obama says if “You buy a fuel efficient auto” he will give you free stuff and “cut red tape”. In other words, he is holding our economy hostage until we go green. Obama stopped by a North Carolina truck factory this past week to announce $1bn in tax credits and grants for alternative-energy cars and trucks.

Ethics - More than half of Obama’s 47 biggest fundraisers, those who collected at least $500,000 for his campaign, have been given administration jobs. Nine more have been appointed to presidential boards and committees.

Iran - Satellite images of an Iranian military facility appear to show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating an attempted cleanup of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told The Associated Press on this past week.

Obama Campaign - The Obama campaign is out with a new short film directed by Academy Award winning director Davis Guggenheim and narrated by Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks. According to Guggenheim, the only negatives on the Obama Presidency are that he accomplished too much.

Deficit – The federal government recorded its worst monthly deficit in history in February, according to a preliminary report last week from the Congressional Budget Office that said the deficit in fiscal year 2012 is already more than half a trillion dollars.

Keystone Pipeline - The Senate narrowly (56-44 – 60 votes needed) rejected a Republican-sponsored measure this past week that would have bypassed the Obama administration's current objections to the Keystone XL pipeline and allowed construction of the project to move forward immediately. Obama lobbied heavily to reject the GOP resolution.

Syria – Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta said the administration seeks “international approval” not “Congressional approval” to act in Syria.

Cyber Attacks - The U.S. is facing an increasing threat of cyberattacks from so-called “cyberterrorists.” Fox news explains that these hackers are using technology to steal money and finance their operations.

Trade Deficit - The U.S. trade deficit has hit an all-time high of $52.6 billion in January, according to the Associated Press. This reflects a big demand for foreign-made cars, computers and food products.

Israel - Israel has asked the United States for advanced “bunker-buster” bombs and refueling planes that could aid in striking Iran.

National Security – Army Chief of Staff, General Odierno had this to say about the military budget cuts “This would result in severe reductions in the National Guard, the Army Reserve and additional reductions in the active component and will significantly decrease what the Army can do for our joint force,” Odierno said. “In my estimation, sequestration would require us to fundamentally relook how we provide national security.”

Obama's Lowlights (3/15/12)

American Terrorists - The Obama administration has outlined how U.S. laws empower the government to kill Americans overseas who engage in terrorism against their home country. But at the same time the administration is against enhanced interrogation techniques – go figure.

Taxes – According to a report from the Treasury Department, illegal aliens will be getting billions in tax refunds off the backs of taxpayers, legally through the tax code.

Bin Laden – A document dump by Wikileaks reveals evidence that Bin Laden may not be buried at sea, but was placed on a plane and sent to the U.S.

Afghanistan – A Karzai investigation revealed that U.S. troops intentionally burned Korans – which is obviously contrary to U.S. military reports.

Green Companies - President Obama's Department of Energy helped finance several green energy companies that later fell into bankruptcy -- but not before the firms doled out six-figure bonuses and payouts to top executives, a Center for Public Integrity and ABC News investigation found. Where is the liberal outrage?

Rush Limbaugh – Yes, Rush was out of line for calling a Georgetown law student (Sandra Fluke) a slut and prostitute after she spoke before Congress in favor of the birth control mandate. But the law student was wrong to ask other Americans to fund contraception for her sexual activity, this is irresponsible behavior (and the real question is why did she get this opportunity to speak in front of Congress). Fluke was also wrong for not accepting Rush’s apology. And let’s not forget the hateful comments and conspiracy theories made by leftist’s against people like Sarah Palin (for example, she was blamed for the Gabriel Giffords shooting) and Joe the Plumber to name a few. What’s worse, on the official White House web site (using taxpayer money), there’s a petition to silence Rush Limbaugh.

Gun Laws - The U.S. District Court in Maryland found the state’s gun registration law unconstitutional. Maryland residents are currently required to show a "good and substantial reason" to maintain a gun permit.

Israel – Netanyahu on Iran: “Unfortunately, Iran’s nuclear program continues to march forward…We’ve waited for diplomacy to work. We’ve waited for sanctions to work. None of us can afford to wait much longer. As prime minister of Israel, I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation.”

Chevy Volt - The Geneva Auto Show announced this past week that the Volt, which is sold in Europe as the Opel Ampera, was named its 2012 Car of the Year ahead of its annual car show that opens this week. Too bad Chevy has shut down production of this so called awesome car.

Michelle Obama Vacations - A conservative legal group is suing the U.S. Air Force for access to first lady Michelle Obama's travel records from a 2010 vacation to Spain.

Medicaid – Visits to the emergency room are up 16% the last 2 years for common dental issues since the number of dentists willing to see Medicaid patients is decreasing.

MSNBC – Host, Ed Schultz, insinuated that Southerners are “dumb” because Georgia went for Gingrich on Super Tuesday.

Racism - San Antonio Independent School District officials took the chant (“USA, USA, USA” after an Alamo Heights Basketball victory) as a racial insult to a school with all minority players from a school with mostly white ones.

Obama's Lowlights (3/12/12)

Solar Energy - The Heritage Foundation reported the solar company Abound Solar, a taxpayer backed company Obama touted in 2010 as the energy of the future, will be laying off 70 percent of its work force.

Medicare - House Subcommittee voted to repeal IPAB. A bipartisan vote in the House of Representatives moved to repeal a controversial Medicare-cutting provision contained in Obamacare. The 17-5 vote means that the legislation will move on to the House floor and sets up a showdown with the Senate over the legislation.

Birth Control - The Senate voted 51-48 this past week to kill a controversial amendment to weaken the Obama administration’s policy requiring employers to provide birth control to their employees. “The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for the cost of contraception,” Health and Human Service head Kathleen Sebelius said with regards to the birth control mandate in ObamaCare.

Coal Power Plants - Edison International (EIX) plans to shut down at least two aging coal-fired power plants in what could be a growing wave of retirements due to new EPA regulations. If this happens, expect energy prices to continue to soar out of control.

2012 Campaign - Democrats on K Street (Lobbying businesses) are warning their corporate clients: Give to Republican challengers in the 2012 election, and you’ll regret it come tax reform time.

USDA - The food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals" because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves.

Chevy Volt - General Motors has temporarily suspended production of its Volt electric car, the company announced this past week. In his weekly address this past week Obama says vehicle fuel economy standards set under his administration and better cars built by a resurgent U.S. auto industry will save money at the gas pump over the long term, a counterpoint to Republican criticism of his energy policy. But when will liberals learn that forcing standards does not make cars any safer and or more practical, as the Chevy Volt has proved.

ObamaCare – Republicans are investigating why the healthcare law cost is now 111 billion dollars more expensive than when it was passed.

Cable – I got this email from my cable provider – here is the first sentence “Between 2/27 and 3/7, you may notice a very brief interruption in TV service due to Sun Outages.” – To funny – It is clear this email was not approved by the climate change fear mongering Obama administration.

Israel – Obama on Israel: "I'm Israel's greatest champion!," he said. “I have Israel’s back”. "Four years ago, I stood before you and said that, 'Israel's security is sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable.'”

Occupy Movement - Breitbart.com has received and released an exclusive tape of an Occupy Strategy Session at New York University, billed as a group talk on “The Abolition of Capitalism.” One of the headline speakers at this session was Stephen Lerner, former leader and International Board Member of the SEIU and frequent Obama White House visitor. Lerner argued in favor of people not paying their mortgages and “occupying” their homes; he spoke in favor of invading annual shareholders meetings to shut them down. But his big goal was to get workers to shut down their workplaces.

Gitmo - The very same lawyer, Tony West, who has adamantly defended GITMO detainees, has now been appointed to one of the highest positions within the Department of Justice to oversee GITMO policy.

Obama's Lowlights (3/8/12)

Afghanistan - President Karzai, speaking with "jihadi leaders," about the admittedly inadvertent Koran burning by U.S. military troops in Afghanistan, Karzai wants them tried in his country.

Occupy Wall Street – In the latest move of civility, protestors have resorted to throwing urine filled balloons at police. In other new, occupier, Kyle Lawrence, from Colorado Springs suffered second degree burns while torching a historic town hall building.

Bradley Manning – The army private (who is going to serve life for treason) who leaked thousands of documents to Wikileaks has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Quotes – Jesse Jackson: “It’s an honor to be a Food Stamp President”. Democrat House Member Kathy Hochul “We’re not looking at the Constitution” when discussing the birth control mandate in ObamaCare. Obama on the Chevy Volt: "Five years from now, when I'm not president anymore, I will buy one and drive it myself."

UN - The UN is preparing to adopt a report praising the human rights record of the former government of deposed Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi. In other news, an official of the United Nations Human Rights Council has sternly warned the city of Sacramento over potential violations of international standards of human rights when the authorities removed homeless people from so-called “tent cities” in public parks.

Defense Budget - The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched.

Taxes - Three-quarters of likely voters believe the nation’s top earners should pay lower, not higher, tax rates, according to a new poll for The Hill.

Gitmo – The U.S. government just finished building a new soccer field for Gitmo detainees at a cost of 750 thousand dollars to American taxpayers.

Georgetown University – Students at the law school want government subsidized contraception – claiming they cannot afford to pay for condoms.

Climate Change – Here is the latest wacky report about the subject: “Britain faces years of freezing winters because global warming is causing Arctic Sea ice to melt, researchers have found.”

Auto Bailout – According to a national journal poll fifty-five percent of Americans still believe auto companies shouldn't have received government money in return for bad business practices.

Stockton California - City leaders seeking a way to dig out from under massive debts have taken a step toward making Stockton the nation's largest city to file for bankruptcy.

Obama's Lowlights (3/5/12)

Taxes - 151.7million U.S. citizens (49.5%) paid no federal income tax in 2009, according to figures compiled by the Heritage Foundation, a right-wing think tank. In 1984, the middle of the Reagan era, 85 per cent of Americans paid federal income tax, meaning just 34.8million people did not.

Bill Maher – He donated 1 million dollars to the Obama Super PAC to help him get reelected.

Afghanistan - President Obama apologized for the burning of Korans at the largest American base in Afghanistan this past week as furious protests raged for over a week and a man wearing Afghan Army uniform turned his weapon on coalition soldiers, killing two of them.

Iraq – Nearly 100 people were killed and hundreds more injured in a string of attacks across the country this past week.

Green Company Stimulus - Several of the nearly two dozen employees at bankrupt solar panel maker Solyndra LLC who were approved for bonuses this past week had months earlier received pay raises as high as 70 percent, a fact the company never disclosed in its request for bonus cash. A123 Systems, an electric car battery company once touted as a stimulus success story by former Gov. Jennifer Granhom, D-Mich., has laid off 125 employees since receiving $390 million in government subsidies -- but is still handing out big pay raises to company executives.

Quotes – Obama on rising gas prices “Just like last year, gas prices are climbing across the country — this time, it’s happening even earlier. And when gas prices go up, it hurts everybody.” Time Magazine on the Navy seals: “In nature, most seals are black, with relatively few white ones. The Navy's SEALs have exactly the opposite problem -- they're overwhelmingly white, with hardly any blacks.”

John Edwards - The purported sex tape of former presidential candidate John Edwards and his mistress will be destroyed within 30 days after a lawsuit over who owned the tape was settled this past week.

Nanny State - D.C. resident Patricia White has received 8 fines, totaling $2000 for not properly recycling old newspapers which she recycled to use as cat litter.

Abortion - Gov. Bob McDonnell and GOP state lawmakers last week abandoned a bill requiring women to undergo a sonogram before an abortion. However, this requirement is no different than what Planned Parenthood expects of women wanting an abortion.

IRS - The IRS is experiencing delays in issuing tax refunds. In late January, a computer glitch caused the agency to delay refunds by upwards of a week. While the agency said the problem has been fixed, the backlog of refunds continues to cause delays.

Debt - A new chart released by Sen. Jeff Session's (R-AL) office shows America's per capita government debt is worse than Greece’s.

Birth Control - Seven states have asked a federal judge to block the Obama administration’s birth control mandate. According to MSNBC, Nebraska, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas allege the mandate will “effectively force religious employers and organizations to drop health insurance coverage, which will raise enrollment in state Medicaid programs and increase patient numbers at state-subsidized hospitals and medical centers.” In other news, a federal judge this week struck down as unconstitutional a Washington state law requiring pharmacists to stock the morning-after pill even if they have religious objections.

Renewable Energy – Obama’s promise to have 50% of the Federal Government’s fleet of cars converted to renewable energy by 2015 is not going to happen. In fact, the fleet of renewable energy cars decreased 59% last year – because they are not practical.

Obama's Lowlights (3/1/12)

Boeing – In a visit to the Boeing plant in Washington, Obama praised the production of the Boeing plant in South Carolina – the same plant that was sued by the National Labor Relations Board.

Candy Bars - Michelle Obama has influenced Mars Candy to sign her "healthier America" agreement. This means Mars will no longer offer king sized candy bars.

Keystone Pipeline - House lawmakers this past week approved a plan to authorize the Keystone XL pipeline and expand drilling offshore in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The final vote was 237-187.

Contraception Mandate – According to ABC News Jake Tapper, President Obama took the advice of Planned Parenthood CEO, Cecile Richards, over White House advisors Biden, Daley, Sebelius, Plouffe, and others to move forward with the mandate in the healthcare bill.

Vacation – Michelle Obama and her two daughters went on another vacation, spending President’s Day Weekend skiing in Aspen.

Oil – Oil prices have escalated to over 105 dollars a barrel (highest level in a year), mostly due to concerns over Iran cutting its supply.

Payroll Tax Deal – One positive aspect of the new tax deal is it reduces unemployment benefits from 99 to 73 weeks (still too long, but a step in the right direction).

60 Minutes – They ran a story on skilled Americans who remain unemployed. This was the most negative story run by the show on the Obama regime.

Greece - Greece received its second financial bailout of $130 billion Euros, staving off imminent default.

Unemployment - According to a new Gallup survey, unemployment rose to nine percent in February. Gallup predicts the Bureau of Labor Statistics will report the rise in early March.

Iran - Amid nuclear speculations, Iran is threatening pre-emptive actions against enemies that they claim endanger their national interests. Iran also refused to show UN nuclear inspectors their newest nuclear sites.

Occupy Movement - High school students in Maryland can get a taste of the Occupy movement with a new summer school course aimed at getting students interested in the "movement for justice."

Mustaches and beards - Mustachioed Americans are seeking a tax break for grooming products. Members of the (tongue-in-cheek) American Mustache Institute are seeking a $250 tax credit to help defray the costs of grooming facial hair.

Quotes – I am paraphrasing Obama’s message to Congress after the payroll tax cut was extended: Now is the time for all Americans to set aside their differences and do what I want. I am also paraphrasing Valarie Jarrett’s message: that unemployment is good for the economy.

Unions – According to reports, union bosses could spend as much as 400 million dollars this election cycle to help Democrats around the country.

Obama Tax Policy – According to the AP: “President Barack Obama is proposing to cut the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 28 percent and wants an even lower effective rate for manufacturers, a senior administration official says, as the White House lays down an election-year marker in the debate over tax policy.” It is amazing how Democrats come to their senses when it’s election season.

Washington State – The legislature is considering an abortion mandate as part of health insurance coverage.

Marriage - Among young women below age 30, new government figures show a clear majority of births—53 percent—now occurring outside of marriage.
