Obama's Lowlights (11/3/12)

Economy – The economy grew at a slow 2% rate in the third quarter mainly due to quantitative easing measures by the federal government. Obama said in an interview on MSNBC his new jobs plan for the economy is to create a Secretary of Business.

Math – Obama admits he is bad at math (7th grade level) on Leno – really, what a surprise based on his economic policies.

Libya – US officials denied 3 requests for reinforcements during the embassy attack. Still the mainstream media fails to cover this story.

Obama Campaign – Lena Dunham did an ad for Obama reaching out to virgin women talking about “their first time”. In other news, Reuters reports “Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's testimony from a 1991 court hearing related to the founder of Staples Inc. appeared to contain little likely to damage the candidate's chances in the November 6 general election.” This was supposed to be the Democrats October surprise when they were successful in unsealing these documents last week. Here is a sample of the lyrics being sung by children in a new Obama ad: “Imagine an America Where strip mines are fun and free Where gays can be fixed And sick people just die And oil fills the sea We don't have to pay for freeways Our schools are good enough Give us endless wars On foreign shores And lots of Chinese stuff.” Here is some quotes from a pro Obama ad from MoveOn.Org “I’m going to give Romney a c*ck-punch right in his nut sack.” "We will burn this motherf*cker down." Desperation does not look pretty.

Minnesota – Both camps began placing ads in a state that has not voted for a Republican for president since 1972. Some of this may be also targeting folks in Western Wisconsin.

Pennsylvania – Polls have shown the PA presidential race tightening and both camps have started to place TV ads. The electoral map is expanding.

TSA - The barcodes on boarding passes can be read on smartphones, allowing passengers to determine if they have been selected by the TSA’s for a random passenger check.

Cannibalizing – There is a lot of talk of early voting and the Democrat advantage. But what is important is getting people to the polls who are less likely to vote on election day. Most stats show the majority of Democrats voting early are highly likely to vote anyway (voted in 3 of the last 4 general elections). Thus, Democrats are only cannibalizing their vote on Election Day – not gaining votes.

Hurricane Sandy – Before the storm hit shore the Romney bus was being deployed to help those in need and provide relief.

Abound Solar - Abound Solar (400 million in stimulus funding), which counts major Obama bundler Pat Stryker among its early backers, is now under criminal investigation for misleading investors. It went bankrupt in mid-2012, leaving employees out of work and taxpayers with the bill. The company had gone through $70 million of a federal loan guarantee worth $400 million. It was supposed to create 1,500 permanent jobs, according to the president’s 2010 announcement of the loan.

Obama's Lowlights (10/31/12)

Obama Campaign – The Obama campaign, according to GAI, has received over 4 million dollars and counting from contributions coming from illegal zip codes (foreign contributions). Meanwhile, Obama campaign ads continue to inflate job growth under his administration. Obama finally released its second term agenda and even CNN criticized it for lacking details. In an interview with the Des Moines Register Obama said he has no regrets pushing ObamaCare over the economy. In other news, Obama had this say about Romney “They (Voters) look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullshi*#%r”. Washington State University and Bowdain College found the Obama campaign has aired far more negative attack ads than the Romney campaign”.

Italy – Seven scientists who failed to predict a 2009 earthquake were convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 6 years in jail.

Terrorists – From the White House log sheets Scores of known radical Islamists made hundreds of visits to the Obama White House, meeting with top administration officials. Court documents and other records have identified many of these visitors as belonging to groups serving as fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and other Islamic militant organizations.”

Stock Markets – The markets are sliding the past few weeks mainly due to poor earnings reports reflecting a slowdown in the economy. DuPont is the first major company announcing layoffs.

Abortion – Michelle Obama lobbied for partial birth abortion in 2004.

Libya – According to Reuters the White House received 3 emails from Libya and therefore knew the attack on the embassy was a terrorist attack within 2 hours of the assault.

Bayonets - The U.S. Army has 419,155 bayonets in its inventory. The Marine Corps has about 195,334 bayonets (and has plans to acquire 175,061 more). This is far more than the U.S. military had in 1916 which Obama falsely claimed in the last debate.

Fast and Furious – Politico is reporting Fast and Furious whistleblower John Dodson is suing Time Inc. over an article titled "The Truth About Fast and Furious," published in Fortune Magazine and written by Katherine Eban, a former Clinton campaign staffer.

Voter Fraud – Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran’s son was fired from his campaign for promoting voter fraud.

Romney Campaign – The Republican is on pace to collect over 200 million in campaign contributions in October.

Auto Bailout – Even David Letterman told guest Rachael Maddow that he thought Obama was being dishonest about Romney’s position on the Auto Bailout / Bankruptcy issue after reading Romney’s Op Ed. In other news, in a potential blow for the president's Ohio reelection campaign, Jeep, the rugged brand President Obama once said symbolized American freedom, is considering giving up on the United States and shifting production to China.

Ted Turner – On CNN’s Piers Morgan show Turner said it was good that more military personnel are committing suicide.

Financial Mess - The federal government is suing Bank of America for $1 billion for selling fraudulent loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Obama's Lowlights (10/28/12)

Energy - In the latest twist, Solyndra's investors could be rewarded for their failure, thanks to a tax benefit the Administration handed out in a bid to evade political accountability. The Internal Revenue Service exposed this double Solyndra debacle last week in the U.S. bankruptcy court for the district of Delaware, which is unwinding the defunct solar-panel maker. The IRS formally objected to Solyndra's Chapter 11 reorganization plan, claiming its "principal purpose is tax avoidance." In other news, battery maker A123 has gone bankrupt after receiving 250 million in stimulus money.

Crime - The number of violent crimes rose by 18 percent in the United States last year while property crimes went up by 11 percent, the government reported last week. It was the first year-to-year increase for violent crime since 1993, marking the end of a long string of declines.

Planned Parenthood – We hear all this talk of Planned Parenthood providing women healthcare services including mammograms – this is not true. The Department of Health and Human Services said in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that no Planned Parenthood clinic in the United States has mammogram equipment.

Economy – Jobless claims spiked to a four month high this past week.

Pensions – Obama has 6 million dollar pension that will be paid by the taxpayer, we are not going to pay for Romney’s pension which incidentally is smaller than Obama’s.

Welfare - A new Congressional Research Service report released this past week shows a dramatic increase in welfare spending over the last 4 years. According to this study, welfare spending reached $746 billion in 2011 (32% increase).

The View – Ann Romney was hammered with questions from Whoopi and friends about why Mitt did not serve in Vietnam and his view on abortion.

Alfred E. Smith Memorial – There is no question that Romney was funnier than Obama at the dinner.

Student Loans - Those who borrowed walked off the graduation stage owing on average $26,600 - up about 5% from the class before.

Quotes – “If four Americans are killed, it’s not optimal” – Obama on Libya terrorist attack. “(Republican) bullets are aimed at you” – Biden at a campaign rally.

Green Jobs – San Antonio Texas picked a South Korean firm to build its solar energy project over U.S. companies that applied for the project.

Endorsements – Key newspapers in swing states are changing their 2008 endorsements of Obama to Romney in 2012. The Orlando Sentinel and the Reno Sentinel-Journal are two such papers.

Afghanistan – New reports have surfaced that al-Qaida is making a strong comeback not only in Afghanistan, but globally.

Third Presidential Debate – I thought Romney went into this debate wanting to avoid making a mistake and coming out as a war mongering as the left paints him. One thing that was learned from every debate is that both Romney and Ryan listen and are more likely to work across party lines. Both will tell the other party where they agree and point out their differences instead of harping on personal issues. Romney and Ryan are adults and Obama and Biden are the children and their behavior at the debates shows this stark difference.

Obama's Lowlights (10/24/12)

Climate Change – Obama warned his supporters at a Miami rally about the threat of global warming and vowed that more money to subsidize green energy firms would prevent it.

Obama Campaign – There was a shooting incident at the Obama’s Denver campaign office. I really do not know what is wrong is people, fortunately no one was hurt.

Big Bird - A demonstration is planned for November 3 to save Big Bird at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., three days before the general election.

Jesse Jackson Jr. – It has been a tough year for the representative who is now being investigated for using campaign contributions to fix up his house. Jackson has been suffering from medical depression.

Campaign - Mitt Romney's campaign and its Republican allies outspend the president's campaign and allied Democratic groups by more than $18 million on the airwaves just this past week, according to data provided by a Democratic source. Republican groups withheld resources until the last few weeks of the campaign.

Libya - The State Department authorized the U.S. Embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric-vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool's new Chevrolet Volts, but had no money for extra security in Libya. In fact, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) says the State Department is sitting on $2.2 billion that should be spent on upgrading security at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide, but the Obama administration will not spend the funds. It seems that the Obama campaign and administration are throwing Hilary Clinton and the State Department under the bus for the deadly attack. Clinton seems to be taking one for the team. At least one person in this administration wants to be held accountable. Other news has surfaced that the Libyan embassy has been attacked twice previously in April and June.

Romney – The campaign and debate has lifted his favorability ratings from under water for the first time in 6 months. In fact, it is the first time Romney’s favorable ratings are higher than Obama’s according to the Realclearpolitics average. Romney had to overcome the onslaught of negative ads over the summer that portrayed him as a tax felon, murderer, and a guy who runs manufacturing sweat shops overseas. Also, the Romney campaign raised 170 million dollars in September, only 11 million less than Obama.

Social Security – Inflationary increases in social security benefits next year will be the lowest in nearly 3 decades.

Population – Bill Maher said "The planet is too crowded and we need to promote death.” This is a common philosophy among many educated liberals that we need population control to save the earth. Unfortunately, we need population growth to pay for the liberal entitlement Ponzi scheme created by many countries around the globe.

Waste – Senator Coburn has published his yearly government waste book.

Second Presidential Debate – A CNN poll had the president winning 46-39, but Romney won on point for the economy, taxes, debt, answering the question whereas the President won narrowly on foreign policy and being aggressive. I saw it as a draw basically because Romney missed opportunities but Obama never spelled out what he would do in the next term.

Obama's Lowlights (10/21/12)

VP Debate – Joe Biden was a disgrace, obnoxious, rude, condescending, disrespectful, arrogant, and outright childish in this debate. And Americans are to believe he and Obama are the ones that can work together in a bipartisan way. This is the Obama administrations definition of civil discourse. You must listen to be able to compromise. In the wake of Biden’s comments on Libya, the administration is claiming they were not made aware of increased security requests by the embassy.

Big Bird – Obama campaign spokesperson Jen Psaki had this to say on the topic "There's been a strong grassroots outcry over the attacks on Big Bird. This is something that mothers across the country are alarmed about, and you know, we're tapping into that," Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One”.

Economy - The IMF is predicting lower growth in the world economy.

Libya – There were no protests before the attack on the US Embassy as the White House and State Department claimed the days following the attack. In fact, in a house oversight hearing General Wood suggested al-Qaida is more established in Libya than the U.S.

Yemen - Masked gunmen shot dead a Yemeni security chief on his way to work at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa this past week, in an attack a Yemeni security source said appeared to be the work of al Qaeda.

Election Fraud - New video from Project Veritas shows an Obama for America campaign staffer providing advice and a ballot to an undercover reporter posing as an Obama activist about how to vote twice in the upcoming presidential election. A day later another video shows volunteers in Brooklyn and an official Obama for America office in Minnesota encouraging double voting.

First Presidential Debate – According the UK Daily Mall “When President Barack Obama stepped off the stage in Denver last week the 60 million Americans watching the debate against Mitt Romney already knew it had been a disaster for him. But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won.”

Stacy Dash – The African-American Actress has drawn scrutiny and obscene remarks for saying she is backing Romney in the election.

Voter ID – A federal judge upholds a South Carolina Voter ID law but it will not go into effect until 2013.

Claire McCaskill – It turns out her husband received 40 million in stimulus money to fix up low income housing projects he runs.

Greece – Unemployment has reached a record 25.1% in the financially strapped country.

Stephanie Cutter – The Obama campaign chief told CNN that “the entire reason this (Libya) has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.”

Obama's Lowlights (10/17/12)

Gas Prices - Californians awoke last week to yet another unprecedented spike in the price of gasoline that brought the one-week increase in the Golden State to a whopping 36 cents a gallon. This is an all-time high for California.

Election Fraud - The Florida Department of State on Friday confirmed that it has forwarded complaints about voter registration fraud that have been filed against the Democrats, as well as against two groups — the Florida New Majority Education Fund and National Council of La Raza/Democracia USA.

Health Insurance – It is estimated the average person is going to see a 19% hike in premiums as companies adjust for the implementation of ObamaCare.

Campaign – Obama and the Democrats raised 181 million in September and Obama is outspending Romney 2 to 1 in swing states. Obama continues to hit campaign events with Hollywood elites to reach his 1 billion dollar goal. In other news, a new report obtained by Townhall from the non-partisan Government Accountability Institute [GAI] shows the Obama campaign has potentially violated federal election law by failing to prevent the use of fraudulent or foreign credit card transactions on the official Obama for America [OFA] donation webpage. There are rumblings that there may be a shakeup in the Obama campaign. Finally, Obama’s big election ad this week features Big Bird.

Obama phone - A wireless company profiting from the so-called "Obama phone" giveaway program is run by a prominent Democratic donor whose wife has raised more than $1.5 million for the president since 2007.

Venezuela – Hugo Chavez won reelection for his third six year term.

Libya - The former head of a Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya tells CBS News that in spite of multiple pleas from himself and other U.S. security officials on the ground for "more, not less" security personnel, the State Department removed as many as 34 people from the country in the six months before a terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.

Foreign Policy – Romney delivered a speech on foreign policy this past week at Virginia Military Institute which offered a sharp contrast to Obama’s current Middle East policy which has seen anti-American protests and unrest rise under his tenure.

NY City – Police sent a family a bill for the damage their son did to a police vehicle when it ran him over and killed him.

Congress - According to a new report in The Washington Post, the median net worth of the current Congress rose 5% during the recession while it fell 39% for the average American. The wealthiest one-third of lawmakers saw their net worth rise 14%.

Obama's Lowlights (10/14/12)

Economy – The Private sector adds a meager 114,000 jobs, but unemployment goes down to 7.8%. This will be viewed as positive and a step in the right direction, but it is unclear how unemployment can drop so much with the addition of so few jobs.

Campaign – A new Obama ad claims Romney supported “sweatshop” conditions in China. Let’s add this to the list of other Obama claims that Romney is murderer and felon. Another Obama ad targeting women says “vote like your lady parts depend on it”. If that is not bad enough, the man who picks up Romney’s trash in California is used in another union ad. In other news, a 2007 video of President Obama has resurfaced where he race baits and has nothing but compliments for his former pastor Jeremiah Wright.

Voter ID - A Pennsylvania judge blocked the state from enforcing its strict voter ID law before the presidential election, citing "disenfranchisement" concerns.

Border security - A U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed and another wounded in a shooting near the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona. From fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2011, according to the U.S. Treasury, the federal government increased spending on foreign aid by 80 percent and, in fiscal 2011, spent 76 percent more on foreign aid than it did securing the borders of the United States.

Libya - House investigators warned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to expect a hearing into their finding that American staff at the U.S. Embassy in Libya had their request for additional security denied by Washington officials. In fact, security remains so bad that the U.S. has pulled out its entire staff from the unstable country.

Gitmo – There have been more discussion that the US will move enemy combatants from Gitmo to a prison in Illinois.

Warn Act – The Obama administration is violating the Warn Act (Must give defense contractors 60 day notice before they are laid off) so it does not affect his reelection campaign. If the defense contractors are sued for noncompliance to the law, the administration will pay for their legal fees to fight any protests.

Unemployment – Nearly 2,400 millionaires received unemployment benefits in 2009.

Birthrate – The CDC released data indicating that the birthrate in 2011 was the lowest it has been since 1998.

Debate – No question Romney won the first debate, even most liberals agree. This is exactly what happens when our leader avoids tough press conferences and campaigns, plays golf, and yucks it up on talk show TV. A big complaint on the left was how Romney spoke over the moderator to get more time to respond to Obama. They felt the moderator lost control of the debate, but the fact is that Obama spoke for nearly 5 minutes more than Romney. Romney was right to fight to get his talk time. According to a CNN poll Romney won the debate 67% to 25% - the biggest margin in a presidential debate since 1984. Al Gore, however, had the best reason for Obama’s poor performance – the altitude!

Obama's Lowlights (10/10/12)

ObamaCare – Here is an ecard from barackobama.com, "Dear Mom, Mitt Romney says he would repeal the Affordable Care Act. So here's a quick question: Can I borrow $18,000 to help pay for my birth control? Thanks!". In other news, Medicare will start fining hospitals that have too many patients readmitted within 30 days of discharge due to complications. The penalties are part of a broader push under President Barack Obama's health care law to improve quality while also trying to save taxpayers money. So a hospital may not elect to readmit an ill patient to avoid a fine – wonderful. We cannot regulate health!

Renewable Energy - Citing national security risks, President Barack Obama blocked a Chinese company from owning four wind farm projects in northern Oregon near a Navy base where the U.S. military flies unmanned drones and electronic-warfare planes on training missions.

California - California Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation that will create the nation's first state-administered retirement savings program for private-sector workers, over the objection of critics who said it creates a new liability for taxpayers.

Defense Contractors – Obama is trying to prevent defense contractors from laying off employees until after the election.

Afghanistan – Afghan troops have been advised not to kill Westerners because of culture ignorance. Meanwhile, the number of US deaths passed two thousand – yet there is no media coverage.

Fast and Furious – Univision ran an investigative report which uncovered the hundreds of humans massacred because of the failed program.

Hugo Chavez – “Of course I’d vote for Obama, and him for me”.

MSNBC – They ran a doctored YouTube video mocking Romney. In other news, the network claims that since Elizabeth Warren grew up believing she was Native American then she is. I grew believing many things that were not true, ignorance is not an excuse.

Eurozone – Unemployment remains at a record 11.4% for September.

Dodd – Frank – Employers now must track all minerals (tantalum, tungsten, tin, gold, copper etc) it uses to make products because of the new financial reform legislation. This is a nightmare for high tech businesses.

Obama Campaign – They are using a 26 year old down-syndrome woman as the poster child against the Romney 47% statement. Of course no one remembers when Obama made his dumb statement about the Special Olympics. And what about Obama’s “Special Needs” tax revision in ObamaCare? In other news, Obama spokesperson Jen Psaki had this to say in the Washington Examiner “President Obama’s campaign spokeswoman said she’s concerned Obama will sound too “professorial” to resonate with the low-information voters tuning into the presidential campaign for the first time during this week’s debate.”

Pentagon – Military personnel cite Pentagon bureaucracy for requesting absentee ballots – it is expected to be a 50% drop from 2008.

Lawsuit – A six foot three 220 pound 27 year old gym teacher is suing the school district claiming a six year old beat him up.

Obama's Lowlights (10/7/12)

Elizabeth Warren – New reports surfaced that Warren defended big steel and coal industries as a practicing lawyer. She is also accused of practicing law in Massachusetts without a license.

Obama – He addressed the UN last week saying the same things he said the year before, we must stop Iran from getting nuclear technology. Obama also continues to stand by his story that an anti-Muslim film caused the Middle East uprisings.

Wikileaks – Julian Assange addressed the UN about asylum – he does not want to be extradited back to Sweden.

Economy – Head of the Philadelphia branch of the Fed admits that the recent quantitative easing initiative will not help the economy.

Women – This is what Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter had to say about women “That’s the other thing that you find most often with women. They’re not really concerned about what’s happened over the last four years, they really want to know what’s going to happen in the next four years.”

Libya – According to Newsweek Within 24 hours of the 9-11 anniversary attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, U.S. intelligence agencies had strong indications al Qaeda–affiliated operatives were behind the attack.

Greece – Austerity protests have sparked up again in Greece.

Spain - Facing an economic crisis, Spain is expected to announce a new budget which will raise taxes and implement structural reforms. .These austerity measures have provoked violent protests.

France – A 75% tax on the wealthy passed.

UN – Susan Rice, US ambassador to the UN skipped the speech of Israeli President Netanyahu at the UN.

Post Office - For the second time in two months, the U.S. Postal Service will default on a congressionally mandated payment to pre-fund retiree health benefits

Egypt – President Mosi says any insults about Mohammed are “unacceptable”. I agree, but he has to realistic, not everyone is going to show tolerance, especially if they protest by killing others – this is not the way to earn respect.

Voter Fraud - Preliminary audits indicated more than one million Florida voters claimed New York mailing addresses. Over 1,700 people were found with voter registrations in both states.

Economy - New orders for manufactured durable goods in August decreased $30.1 billion or 13.2 percent to $198.5 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today. This decrease, down following three consecutive monthly increases, was the largest decrease since January 2009. The GDP was downgraded from an abysmal 1.7% in the second quarter to 1.3%.

Poll Analysis – I have done some poll analysis in Florida and Ohio and by my calculations Obama’s lead is exaggerated by about 1.8 points in Florida and 2.1 points in Ohio.

Obama phones – At a rally in Cleveland, one supporter was hailing Obama for her free phone, called an “Obamaphone” paid for by taxpayers.

Obama's Lowlights (10/3/12)

Romney’s Taxes – In 2011 Romney paid 14.1% in taxes on 13.5 million dollars. They gave over 4 million to charity (30%) and only claimed half that amount as a deduction. In the past twenty years the Romney’s paid an effective tax rate of 20.5% and gave 13.5% to charity. They paid nearly 40% in state, local, federal, and charities over 20 years (of course this does not include sales taxes).

Free Speech - Seven Pakistani television stations broadcast U.S. government public service messages featuring President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denouncing a film clip insulting Mohammed. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland confirmed the ads were produced and paid for by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, at a cost of $70,000. They aired on the same day as the army had to be called in to prevent violent protestors from breaching a diplomatic enclave where the embassy in located. In fact, the US state department has condemned a Pakistani minister's offer of $100000 (£61600) for the death of the American maker of the anti-Islam film.

Romney’s skin completion – With the economy in the tank and anti-American protests around the globe, the big story on media and left blog sites is Romney’s skin completion, which they claim he darkened for his Univision interview. This of course has been refuted by the makeup artist – Lazz Rodriquez.

Education – U.S. high school students graduate with just a 32 percent proficiency rate in math, according to a Harvard study — a figure that puts America behind 31 other countries, including Japan, Korea, Switzerland and Canada.

Priorities – World leaders gathered at the UN last week, President Barack Obama has no plans to meet privately with any of them. He will make time for "The View," a freewheeling TV talk show. On the View both Michelle and Barack bragged about themselves as the first lady boasted about “working out” and the President said “he was just eye candy” to many.

Mistake – For the third time in 2 months Obama was asked what his biggest mistake has been as president and he gave 60 Minutes a different answer than his Univision and ABC interviews.

Libya – Obama refers to the four dead Americans in Libya as “bumps in the road” on the way to progress. In fact, Obama still fails to call what happened in Libya as a terror attack. What’s worse, both CNN and CBS are reporting that the FBI has yet to secure the crime scene at the Libya embassy which is home to many secure documents including uncovering ambassador Chris Steven’s personal journal.

Campaign Ads - President Barack Obama acknowledged in unaired portions of a "60 Minutes" interview that his campaign ads sometimes go "overboard" when it comes to attacking Mitt Romney.

Medicare - Seniors enrolled in seven of the 10 most popular Medicare prescription drug plans will be hit with double-digit premium hikes next year if they don't shop for a better deal, says a private firm that analyzes the highly competitive healthcare industry.

Planned Parenthood - The Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the political arm of the company that does more than 300,000 abortions annually and has endorsed Obama, plans to spend more than $3 million to target voters in the battleground states of Ohio and Virginia with ads bashing Romney for wanting to cut its taxpayer funding. The $3.2 million campaign will feature everything from online ads to old-fashioned door to door politics.

Obama's Lowlights (10/1/12)

Romeny 47% Comment- “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax. Romney went on: "[M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives." How is this different from Obama’s “cling to religion and guns” statement in 2008 or his statement “you did not build that” earlier this summer? How about Obama’s statement that “You can’t change Washington from the inside, you have to do it from outside” this past week?

Indoctrination - Professor Sharon Sweet at Brevard Community College (BCC in Florida) allegedly told students to sign a pledge that reads: “I pledge to vote for President Obama and Democrats up and down the ticket.”

Calories – Students at a Wisconsin school are protesting an 850 calorie maximum limit for school lunches.

Propaganda – Recently uncovered emails show that the DOJ and Media Matters worked together on news stories, particularly covering up the Fast and Furious program.

Unemployment - The Social Security Administration announced a new record number for individuals collecting unemployment. In September, 8,786,049 American workers collected federal disability; this is a net increase of 18,108 from August.

Fast and Furious - The Inspector General’s report confirms findings by Congress’ investigation of a near total disregard for public safety in Operation Fast and Furious. The Justice Department’s inspector general recommended that 14 current federal officials face disciplinary reviews over the botched gun-trafficking investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious. In a scathing report, the inspector general, Michael Horowitz, laid primary blame on what he portrayed as a dysfunctional and poorly supervised group of Arizona-based federal prosecutors and agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. As part of the operation, those officials did not act to seize illegal weapons in hopes of bringing a bigger case against a gun-smuggling network linked to a Mexican drug gang. The IG report also states that Attorney General, Eric Holder, should have turned the programs documents over to congress. In other news, in an interview this past week on Univision, Obama had this say about the program “field-initiated program begun under the previous administration. When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. This is a flat out lie, the program started under Obama.

Libya – Ten days after the deadly attack on the U.S. embassy the Obama White House has conveniently changed its story that it was indeed a terrorist attack. Even CBS news had a scathing report about the administration’s handling of both before and after the attack.

Obama’s America – According to the CBO six million Americans -- from the middle class -- will pay an ObamaCare tax penalty and the number of adults on food stamps has doubled since Obama suspended the work requirement in welfare. In other news, the Washington Examiner released a story about Obama’s past and to be nice, he did not excel to the top, but had a mediocre rise at best. And no, Obama did not live a childhood of hardship as others may claim. And in case you missed it, the Obama campaign came up with a new version of the American Flag with the Obama “O” replacing the stars.

Obama's Lowlights (9/27/12)

Fed – They are doing another round of quantitative easing in an attempt to right the economy. They are buying up 40 billion in bonds per month.

Libya – From the UK Independent ‘According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.”

Social Security disability – The government paid out 591 billion in benefits this past year.

Military - The Pentagon is buying Chevrolet Volts to help “green up” the military—while propping up sales of the bailed-out automaker’s most politicized car.

Arab Fall – The spring may have been good, but the fall is looking bad – The US embassy in Tunisia is the latest to get attacked, meanwhile Muslim protestors are outside of several dozen U.S. embassies around the world including the US embassy in London. In other news, the Obama administration is sticking to its position that the deadly attack in Benghazi wasn't premeditated, contradicting U.S. lawmakers and Libya's own president.

First Amendment - In the Daily Caller, Neil Munro reports that the Obama administration has asked YouTube to suppress the offensive film that is the pretext for some of the Islamist rioting. This is, of course, in accordance with the demands of the Muslim brotherhood.

Economy – Consumer Price Index jumps 0.6%, the largest increase since 2009. In other news, the ratings agency Egan-Jones gave the U.S. a credit rating of AA-, down from its solid AA rating.

Media – In an interview where Romney clearly stated a middle class family makes less than 250 or 200 thousand dollars, the media claims he said a middle class family makes between 200 and 250 thousand dollars. Romney has employed hundreds of people, he knows what a middle class family earns.

Chicago Teachers Strike – Word is Mayor Emanuel threatened to sue the union if they failed to get back to work. This is amazing; Democrats love unions so long as they are not using their collective bargaining powers on the Democrats turf. It is okay to rally union support in Wisconsin, but not in Chicago. In fact, Emanuel said the strike was illegal because it endangers the health and safety of students and concerned issues - evaluations, layoffs and recall rights - that state law says cannot be grounds for a work stoppage. "This was a strike of choice and is now a delay of choice that is wrong for our children," Emanuel said in a written statement.

Auto Companies - The Treasury Department is resisting General Motors' push for the government to sell off its stake in the auto maker, The Wall Street Journal reports. Following a $50 billion bailout in 2009, the U.S. taxpayers now own almost 27% of the company.

ObamaCare Propaganda - Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has been hired by California's health care exchange (the body implementing ObamaCare in the once-Golden-State) using taxpayer money. Part of what it intends to do includes pitching a reality show about families without health insurance -- and seeking to have popular prime-time television shows (like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Modern Family") work the health care law into their plots.

Tax Cuts – The president mocked tax cuts in an Ohio campaign speech “Tax cuts in good times, tax cuts in bad times. Tax cuts in peace, tax cuts in war. Want to make a plane reservation? You don't need a new iPhone, try a tax cut."

Bomb Threats – Following the embassy attacks there have been dozens of bomb threats at major universities across the country.

Occupy Wall Street – The one year anniversary of the movement came and passed with more arrests in New York City.

Obama's Lowlights (9/24/12)

Economy - The unemployment rate for government wage and salaries workers dropped from 5.7 percent in July to 5.1 percent in August. At the same time, the number of government wage and salary workers counted as unemployed dropped by 123,000 people from 1,182,000 in July to 1,059,000 in August. The overall national unemployment rate was 8.1 percent in August.

Farm Bill - 80% of farm subsidies go to only 15% of farmers, most of whom are wealthier and more secure than the average American. (2010 farm household net worth: $576,745—up from $534,727 in 2007; 2010 media household net worth: $77,000—down from $126,400 in 2007). The average crop insurance policy is subsidized $3,591 by taxpayers. Americans do not expect their neighbors to pay for the auto insurance, why should taxpayers pay for their neighbor’s crop insurance? Americans pay $147 million per year to Brazilian cotton producers, so we can continue to subsidize American cotton producers. To avoid trade sanctions for subsidizing US cotton farmers in violation of WTO commitments, the US government also subsidizes Brazilian cotton producers.

Budget - President Obama said it was a "mistake" to criticize Paul Ryan and his budget proposal as strongly as he did during a speech in April 2011. After all, Ryan’s budget proposal passed the House while the President’s budget proposal got no votes in the House or Senate.

9/11 – Obama campaigns on Twitter looking for more volunteers and money, Romney prays on the somber day. Obama broke the 24 hour truce agreement for campaigns by releasing new attack TV ads and a radio broadcast.

Chicago Teachers Strike - Seventy-nine percent of the 8th graders in the Chicago Public Schools are not grade-level proficient in reading, according to the U.S. Department of Education, and 80 percent are not grade-level proficient in math.

Israel - The public feuding between Israel and Washington ratcheted up sharply this past week amid claims that Barack Obama has declined to meet Binyamin Netanyahu during the Israeli prime minister's visit to the US later this month.

Egypt / Libya / Yemen - A mob of Cairo demonstrators scaled the U.S. Embassy walls last week to tear down the American flag in a show of protest against the release of an American movie Egyptians believe insults the prophet Mohammad. The State Department apologized to Egypt and showed more sympathy for the attackers than the victims. Another mob attacked the US Embassy in Libya killing 4 including Chris Stevens our ambassador to Libya. As protestors paraded Stevens’ dead body through the streets Obama continued on his campaign schedule. What’s worse, the consulate where the American ambassador to Libya was killed is an “interim facility” not protected by the contingent of Marines that safeguards embassies. Conditions in the Middle East continued to deteriorate last week as the U.S. Embassy in Yemen was also attacked. In fact, a new poll shows that U.S. / Middle East relations have hit a new all-time low under Obama. And what’s Obama’s response to Romney criticisms of the incidents “He likes to shoot first and aim later”. Where is the left condemning this statement as uncivil – if Romney used the word “shoot” they would claim he is riling up the far right extremists. Finally, let’s not forget how Obama politicized the Iraq War for his gain.

Taliban - A U.N. report released last week said the Taliban raised $400 million last year.

IRS - The IRS has awarded a former UBS banker $104 million for exposing a $20 billion offshore banking scheme.

Voter Fraud - Wendy Rosen, the Democratic challenger to Republican Rep. Andy Harris in the 1st Congressional District, withdrew from the race Monday amid allegations that she voted in elections in both Maryland and Florida in 2006 and 2008.

New York City – A measure passes that will not allow store owners to have cups larger than 16 ounces for soft drinks.

Census Bureau – A new census report shows that the average median income fell 1.5% and poverty rates remained unchanged for 2011.

Obama's Lowlights (9/20/12)

Economy - Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 96,000 in August, and the unemployment rate edged down to 8.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this past week. The labor force has shrunk to 63.5%, the lowest level since 1961. Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (7.6 percent), adult women (7.3 percent), teenagers (24.6 percent), whites (7.2 percent), blacks (14.1 percent), and Hispanics (10.2 percent) showed little or no change in August. The jobless rate for Asians was 5.9 percent.

DNC Merchandise – Members of the media used fake names to purchase Obama merchandise – members of the media are not supposed to support a campaign, they are to be neutral.

Lawyers – The best thing about the Romney / Ryan ticket is that they are not lawyers. Lawyers have a place in our society, but there are too many and they are destroying this country. They don’t build anything, but many make a living off taxpayer money which drives up the cost of many commodities and services due to frivolous lawsuits and their incompetent interpretation of the law. Obama is a perfect example because he continually violates the Constitution by unilaterally passing legislation, rules, regulations, mandates, and expanding the power of the executive branch with more bureaucrats with no oversight (Czars).

Afghanistan - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered a report to Congress formally designating the Haqqani network as a terrorist organization. The network is responsible for the deadliest attacks on American troops in Afghanistan.

DNC – Five million less people watched Obama’s DNC speech this year than 2008. However, his speech was viewed by 5 million more people than viewed Romney’s RNC speech. But the big news for Obama was a 7 point bounce in the polls after the DNC.

Iraq - Iraq's fugitive Sunni vice president was sentenced Sunday to death by hanging on charges he masterminded death squads against rivals in a terror trial that has fueled sectarian tensions in the country. Underscoring the instability, insurgents unleashed an onslaught of bombings and shootings across Iraq, killing at least 92 people in one of the deadliest days this year.

Technology – The Washington Times wrote that the President had no clue on how to operate an iphone and when it was not doing what it thought it should he blamed the manufacturing.

Campaign – Romney raised over 111 million dollars in August and has 165 million dollars on hand. Obama hauled in 114 million dollars in August.

Teacher Unions – Chicago teachers go on strike as they claim “for the kids”.

Economy – For the third straight year Obama gave himself an incomplete grade on the economy.

Lifeguards – Inside Edition exposed lifeguards who make 200 thousand a year and are retired before age 50.

Chevy Volt – Chevrolet loses 49 thousand dollars for every Volt they sell.

New York City – The number of children in homeless shelters reaches 19 thousand.

National Security – From Marc Thiessen: “The Government Accountability Institute examined President Obama’s schedule from the day he took office until mid-June 2012, to see how often he attended his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) — the meeting at which he is briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country. During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times —or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.”

Illegal Immigration - The U.S. government has halted flights home for Mexicans caught entering the country illegally in the deadly summer heat of Arizona's deserts, a money-saving move that ends a seven-year experiment that cost taxpayers nearly $100 million.

Obama's Lowlights (9/17/12)

Campaign – Are we better off today than 4 years ago? As Democrats at the DNC say we are, here are some key statistics: Unemployment: 7.8% then, 8.3% now; Median income: $54,983 then, $50,964 now; Gas prices: $1.85 per gallon then, $3.78 now; National debt: $10.6 trillion then, $15.9 trillion now (with the debt hitting the magic $16 Trillion mark tonight, appropriately); Half of all Americans are now considered "poor" or "low income."; One out of every six Americans is living in poverty -- an increase of millions since Obama took office; Food stamp usage has increased by 45 percent under this president; Average family health care premium costs have increased to roughly $15,000 per year. In other news, Rahm Emanuel left the Obama campaign to raise money for a Super PAC.

Elizabeth Warren - Elizabeth Warren, tried to shift focus from her ongoing Cherokee scandal and dismissed demands from Native Americans who want her to explain her heritage claims at the Democratic National Convention.

DNC – All the speakers claim the president created 4.5 new jobs once the economy began to add jobs. The actual number, according to the Department of Labor, is half that amount. In fact, FactCheck.org has refuted most Democratic fear mongering claims during the DNC. In other news, God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel were added back into the Democratic platform even though they did not get a two thirds majority from the delegates. Due to lack of attendance Obama had to move his DNC acceptance speech indoors. I particularly enjoyed Sandra Fluke’s speech that women are silenced victims in the US. Maybe she should move to the Middle East.

Washington Posts – In a column Richard Cohen writes “some of the furious opposition to him reeks of a deep, not superficial, racism. To some, Obama just doesn’t look like a president.”

Ironic - Rabbi David Wolpe of Los Angeles’ Sinai Temple, where Monica Lewinsky and her family were congregation members for decades and where Lewinsky attended religious school, delivered the benediction at the Democratic National Convention tonight — not long after Bill Clinton’s speech.

Welfare - In a legal opinion requested by Senator Orrin Hatch, Ranking Minority Member of the Senate Committee on Finance and Representative Dave Camp, Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means, the GAO General Counsel's Office determined that the Department of Health and Human Services' recent memo making changes to operation of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program... must be submitted to both Houses of Congress before it can take effect. This must happen for Obama’s recent unilateral movement to remove work from welfare to go into effect.

Food Stamps - Food stamp use has reached a record high 46.7 million Americans used food stamps in June, reflecting in part the government’s increased promotion of the program.

Crazy - A Boston judge ruled that a convicted murderer has the right to a tax-payer funded sex change operation. The judge determined that the prisoner is entitled to the operation because all prisoners’ health care needs are met by the federal government.

Obama's Lowlights (9/13/12)

Living at Home – According to a study by Ohio State University, one out of every three 25 to 34 years old live at home.

Free Speech – This past week, someone walking through Charlotte's central business district could run afoul of the law by carrying water bottles, hair spray, socks or magic markers under sweeping security rules enacted ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

Welfare – According to the AP this was Romney’s welfare program as Governor of Massachusetts: Romney, Massachusetts governor from 2003 to 2007, fought to require single parents with children as young as a year old to work to get welfare benefits if they could obtain state-subsidized child care. He opposed efforts to allow time spent in job training or education programs to count toward the state's 20-hour weekly work requirement for welfare recipients, and pushed for a five-year lifetime limit on welfare benefits.

Chris Matthews - In an interview with The Hill following the incident with a Romney delegate at the RNC, Matthews told the story and recounted that he said to the gentlemen: “What’s this, a douch#bag convention?” Spoken like a true adult.

Unions - Some union officials refused to go to the DNC after the Democrats chose a labor-unfriendly location in the right-to-work state of North Carolina. Others sent only skeleton staffs to support their union delegates, but say they’re focusing resources elsewhere. Labor groups aren’t shelling out for big events in Charlotte, and many aren’t even donating cash to the cause — despite their exemption from new restrictive fundraising rules. What’s worse, union activists walked a political tightrope at the DNC - voicing support for President Barack Obama's re-election bid while lamenting adversarial attitudes toward organized labor in the state Democrats chose for the presidential convention.

Beer - It’s official, the White House beer recipe is out! Last week White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, tweeted out the link to the recipe and a video of how to make it.

Afghanistan - US Forces in Afghanistan said they have suspended training new recruits to the Afghan Local Police (ALP) amid a spike in the number of insider attacks which are damaging trust between Afghans and their allies.

Entitlements – According to the Wall Street Journal the growth of entitlement payments over the past half-century has been breathtaking. In 1960, U.S. government transfers to individuals totaled about $24 billion in current dollars, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. By 2010 that total was almost 100 times as large. Even after adjusting for inflation and population growth, entitlement transfers to individuals have grown 727% over the past half-century, rising at an average rate of about 4% a year.

Biden – In his latest fear mongering campaign speeches he claims Romney wants to go to war in Syria and Iran.

Yahoo News - Yahoo News ran an article saying Paul Ryan’s attempt to fire up his alma mater’s football team (Miami of Ohio) “failed” when they got blown out by Ohio State (Miami was a huge underdog). Where were the Yahoo News articles about Obama’s “failed” NCAA Men’s Basketball bracket?

John Burton – The California Democratic Party Chair leader compared Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazis (Joseph Goebbels – The propaganda leader)

DNC – To fill the Charlotte stadium the Democrats had to bus in supporters.

Economy – For the third straight year Obama gave himself an incomplete grade on the economy.

Obama's Lowlights (9/10/12)

Fracking - Based on a study of the effects of fracking, forest officials in Wayne National Forest will permit energy firms to extract oil from the park using the technique.

Yahoo News – During the RNC (which Hurricane Issac was hitting Gulf Coast at the same time) Yahoo News reported “They (Republicans) aren’t concerned at all,” said Yahoo News. “They are happy to have a party when black people drown.” Meanwhile, Obama campaigned in Virginia and answered questions online as the Isaac pummeled the Gulf Coast. What got lost in all the campaigning and race baiting: Jesse Shaffer, 25, and his father, also named Jesse Shaffer, 53, both of Braithwaite, La., stayed behind in their town after Isaac hit to rescue 120 of their friends when ocean waters breached levees. Meanwhile, Romney and Ryan visited the ravished Gulf Coast three days before Obama.

MSNBC – The liberal news network did not cover many RNC speeches made by minorities.

Race – Politico turned Ann Romney’s speech into more race baiting. Ann Romney said “And let's be honest. If the last four years had been more successful, do we really think there would be this attack on Mitt Romney's success?” Politico responded “And let's be honest. If the last four years had been more successful, do we really think there would be this focus on race?”

Gas Mileage - After a year of negotiation, the White House finally reached a formal agreement with automakers and unions to raise the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) to a minimum 54.5 mpg by 2025. It is easy to set goals to problems you do not have to find solutions. The bottom line is that cars will be less safe.

RNC – A Washington Post poll found that people who watched the RNC on TV had a much more favorable view of the event than those that did not watch it – those who got their news from biased sources.

Voter ID - A federal court on Thursday blocked Texas from enforcing a strict new voter identification law, ruling that the state had failed to prove that the mandate would not disproportionately suppress turnout among eligible voters who are members of minority groups. I do not understand what race has to do with any decision about trying to combat voter fraud.

Code Pink - Medea Benjamin is the leader of the women's peace and justice group Code Pink. At the RNC the group dressed up as a female sex organs and paraded themselves down the street. Why would they do this? Because Code Pink believes this is a way to gain respect for women.

Wages - A majority of the new jobs added during the recovery have been low paying, according to a new report from the National Employment Law Project.

Obama's Lowlights (9/6/12)

Recession - From June 2009 to June 2012, inflation-adjusted median household income fell 4.8 percent, to $50,964, according to a report by Sentier Research, a firm headed by two former Census Bureau officials. Incomes have dropped more since the beginning of the recovery than they did during the recession itself, when they declined 2.6 percent, according to the report, which analyzed data from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey.

Coal - Germany opened one of the largest coal-fired power plants in the world last week. Many environmentalists believe this is a step backwards for a nation so involved in promoting green energy.

No Easy Deal – The new book written by a member of Navy Seal Team 6 that killed Osama Bin Laden could have him facing criminal prosecution.

Campaign Ad - One of the women in the Obama campaign's new video of Republicans supporting the president because of GOP positions on women's rights appears not to be a Republican at all. Maria Ciano who is featured in the web video has been a registered Democrat since October 2006 according to voter registration records.

Investing – New reports have surfaced showing that the Obama’s have financially benefitted from investing in private equity and foreign investments.

Box Office – The movie “2016 Obama’s America” was third in gross revenues this past week.

Chris Matthews – The liberal MSNBC host lost control in an interview with RNC chair Reince Priebus this past week calling him “garbage” and a “racist”.

Glamour Magazine - Editor in chief Cindi Leive flew to Portland, Ore., last month to sit down with the President for an interview that will appear in the magazine’s November issue.

Facebook – A “Kill Mitt Romney” site was up for 17 days before being disabled and had 27 people “like” the page.

Unmanned Vehicle University - The world’s first university dedicated solely to training drone pilots is up and running.

TSA - The Transportation Security Administration says it has moved to fire six bag-screeners at Logan International Airport in Boston who performed inadequate luggage checks because they were distracted by their cellphones or other electronic devices.

Hurricane Issac – Liberal Hollywood stars such as Ellen Barkin and Samuel Jackson wished Hurricane Issac would have destroyed the Republican National Convention.

Consumer - U.S. consumer confidence unexpectedly weakened in August to its lowest in nine months as Americans turned more pessimistic about the short-term outlook, according to a private sector report released on Tuesday. The Conference Board, an industry group, said its index of consumer attitudes fell to 60.6 from a downwardly revised 65.4 the month before. Economists had expected an increase to 66, according to a Reuters poll.

Obama's Lowlights (9/3/12)

Campaign - The NRCC raised $11.7 million and ended the month of July with $48.9 million in cash on hand, while the DCCC raised $8.2 million and closed the month of July with $36.2 million in cash on hand. Thru July, Obama had outspent Romney 325 million to 165 million, but Romney has more cash on hand. In other news, presidential candidates have traditionally kept a low profile during their opponent's nominating celebration, but Democrats are throwing those rules out the window in an attempt to spoil Mitt Romney’s coronation as the GOP nominee. Expect Republicans to return the favor the following week at the DNC in Charlotte.

EPA - A federal court has overturned new EPA rules that would have curtailed coal power plants.

MSNBC - The Labor Department paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal stimulus funds to a public relations firm to run more than 100 commercials touting the Obama administration’s “green training” job efforts on two MSNBC cable shows, records show. The commercials ran on MSNBC on shows hosted by Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann in 2009, but the contract didn’t report any jobs created, according to records reviewed recently by The Washington Times.

Planned Parenthood – A federal court ruled Texas can cut off funding for Planned Parenthood within its women’s health services program because Planned Parenthood is an abortion business.

Federal Deficit – The U.S. federal debt officially passed 16 trillion dollars on August 23rd.

Afghanistan – The U.S. military death toll has passed 2000, but no one is paying any attention to this war because the media refuses to cover it as they covered the 4,000 military personal that lost their lives fighting the Iraq War under Bush’s watch.

Democratic Budget - The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office this past week warned the economy will enter a recession next year if the country goes over the so-called fiscal cliff.

Abortion – The Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin needs to drop out of his race for his dumb comments on abortion. However, it is important to note that fewer than 3% of all abortions are due to rape and incest. That means over 97% of abortions are performed on women where a crime was not committed.

Debate Moderator - Josh Peterson at the Daily Caller notes that Martha Raddatz, the moderator of this year's vice-presidential debate, was married to Obama friend and FCC chairman Julius Genachowski.

Fast and Furious – An ATF official in charge of the Fast and Furious program has been accused of perjury after receiving a taxpayer salary, a pension fund, and bank salary.

War on Women – The major networks are pushing this war on women, but at the same time they have refused to air Ann Romney’s speech as the RNC.

Immigration - Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach's latest immigration fight pits his clients, ten Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, up against President Barack Obama's latest directive to stop the deportation of immigrants who came to the country as children.

Twitter - President Obama's Twitter account has 18.8 million followers -- but more than half of them really don't exist, according to reports. A new Web tool has determined that 70% of Obama's crowd includes "fake followers," the New York Times reports in a story about how Twitter followers can be purchased.

Obama's Lowlights (8/30/12)

John Corzine - Federal prosecutors do not expect to file criminal charges against the former New Jersey governor. Mr. Corzine has not yet received assurances that he is free from scrutiny, but two rounds of interviews with former employees and a review of thousands of documents have left prosecutors without a case against him, say the people involved in the investigation who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Prosecutors say Corzine is more guilty of being disorganized and incompetence for MF Global’s loss of over 1 billion in investor funds.

Economy – Jobless rates are on the rise again in 44 of 50 states. Also, the White House is considering tapping oil reserves to lower gas prices. And finally, housing starts have also fallen.

Chuck Schumer – The NY Times ran an article about Schumer and his match making abilities.

Newsweek – This past week they ran a lead story by a former McCain advisor that highlights all of Obama’s shortcomings in his first term. Hard to believe they would actually run an anti-Obama article of any kind.

Campaign – Obama has been ducking questions from the White House press corp for weeks. Instead Obama has been taking on local media interviews that ask those tough questions such as his favorite food or if he had a super power what would it be? When he finally addressed the press corp Obama says his team has never “gone out of bounds” on claims that Romney is a felon, tax cheat, and has killed a former Bain employee spouse. In other news, the RNC lead the DNC with cash on hand after July – 87 million dollars to 15 million dollars.

Charity - A study released by the Chronicle of Philanthropy found that residents in states where religious participation is higher than the rest of the nation, particularly in the South, gave the greatest percentage of their discretionary income to charity. The six New England states were the stingiest contributors to charities. No surprise here, conservatives give more to charity while liberals want more government handouts.

ObamaCare - Under the Affordable Care Act, the Obama administration's signature health care reform law, medical-device manufacturers will pay a 2.3 percent tax on sales of such products starting in 2013. That tax will affect everything from surgical tools to oxygen tanks to wheelchairs. It is one of several features of the law designed to raise money to cover the uninsured -- it's expected to raise an additional $20 billion by 2019. This tax will hit seniors the hardest.

DNC – Many women attending the Democratic National Convention are angry that the facilities are not mother friendly.

Afghanistan – The Joint Chiefs of Staff airplane was damaged by rebel fire. This is more of a sign of the deteriorating conditions in Afghanistan. What’s worse, one in four military deaths is due to attacks by the Afghan police force. Still, the media refuses to cover this war in the same light as the Iraq War.

Homelessness - The homeless population in New York City has risen a stunning 18 percent since 2011, forcing the city to open nine new emergency homeless shelters in June and July. New York now accommodates a crushing total of 43,731 under the costly bureaucracy known as the Department of Homeless Services.

Richard Minter – He has a new book on Obama called “Leading from Behind”. It is a good read.

Obama's Lowlights (8/27/12)

Stock Market - Due to questionable accounting practices and high prices, many Chinese companies are pulling assets out of the U.S. Stock Market.

Voter ID – According to a recent Washington Post Poll over 74% of Americans believe a valid photo ID be required to vote. In other news, a Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court judge denied a bid by civil rights groups to block the new voter identification law from taking effect, delivering a first-round victory to Gov. Corbett and legislative Republicans who pushed the measure through this spring saying it was needed to prevent voter fraud.

Green – The Export-Import Bank has guaranteed 2 billion in loans to develop green energy in South Africa.

Medicare – Here is an interview between ABC’s Tapper and Obama on ObamaCare Medicare Cuts: TAPPER: “Are you willing to pledge that whatever cuts in Medicare are being made to fund health insurance, one third of it, that you will veto anything that tries to undo that?” OBAMA: “Yes. I actually have said that it is important for us to make sure this thing is deficit neutral, without tricks. I said I wouldn’t sign a bill that didn’t meet that criteria.”

Hate - The Family Research Center (FRC) has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of their support for Chick-Fil-A. Last week a person attacked the FRC headquarters in Washington DC injuring one person.

Black Panther Party – Here is a statement by the BPP about the RNC convention in Tampa Bay: "We are under siege in Tampa because of this Republican National Convention." "The Republicans hate black people." "You better believe I'm going to put my God damned boot on their motherf****** necks!"

Jenna Ryan – The Huffington Post ran an article blasting Paul Ryan’s wife for defending cigar, nuclear, and pharmaceutical companies in her career as a lawyer.

AP – In an article this past week they called the recession recovery the worst since the Great Depression.

Homeland Security – Janet Napolitano is facing several lawsuits for favoritism towards women.

Fundraising – Obama has now held 200 fundraisers, Bush held 86 in two terms.

Arizona - In an executive order, Governor Brewer said she was reaffirming the intent of current Arizona law denying taxpayer-funded public benefits and state identification to illegal immigrants. This was in response to thousands of illegal aliens lining up across the country to get work permits based on Obama’s latest unilateral immigration policy. In fact, the Obama administration told China’s communist leaders that Arizona’s immigration law is "an example of a 'troubling trend' in the United States and an indication of “discrimination or potential discrimination” in American society."

Joe Biden - According to reporters following Biden on the campaign trail, staffers are editing press pool reports. Pool reports are developed and issued by press, for press in order to keep up with Biden's schedule and events, among other things.

Julian Assange – The Wikileaks founder has been granted asylum in Equator. This protects him from being extradited to face justice.

MSNBC – Host Toure suggests the Romney is engaging in the “N*ggerization of Obama”. What does that even mean?

Obama's Lowlights (8/23/12)

Paul Ryan – Ryan is my favorite politician (those who read my blog will already know this). He is a family man and although he has been in Washington for 14 years, he is squeaky clean and has no ties to lobbyists or special interests. Yes, the Democrats will demonize his financial ideas (you know the man that wants to kill Medicare), but the Democrats would demonize any conservative choice for VP. The Ryan choice shows that the Republicans are serious about making this election about the economy and our fiscal debt issues. Ryan is the only person in Washington with the fortitude to get off the fence and propose a budget plan to reduce the debt and cut spending and he has been rewarded for his efforts. Hopefully, Ryan can articulate his plan to Americans as Democrats paint him as the guy who wants to kill their grandmother. Ryan must show the facts - ObamaCare guts Medicare of 500 billion dollars over 10 years, not his plan.

Budget – Congress and the President has not passed a budget for 1200 days and counting.

Robin Hood - Hoping to build on state-level reforms aimed at closing the education achievement gap, the Education Department opened its Race to the Top competition to school districts on Sunday, inviting the poorest districts across the country to vie for almost $400 million in grants.

USDA – The USDA was allotted 2 million dollars for interns, but the problem is they only have one full time intern.

Eric Holder – Holder received a civil contempt lawsuit from Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa this past week for not releasing documents in the Fast and Furious program.

Joe Biden – Biden brought Paul Ryan’s deceased father (he died when Ryan was 16) in a negative way into one of his campaign speeches. In a Virginia campaign speech Biden told minority supporters a Romney/Ryan White House “will put you all back in chains.”

Drought – Obama is using the drought in the Midwest as a campaign talking point to blast Republicans for not passing a farm bill. However, the Republicans have passed a farm bill; they are waiting on Democrats to approve it.

Auto Bailouts - The Treasury Department says in a new report the government expects to lose more than $25 billion on the $85 billion auto bailout. That's 15 percent higher than its previous forecast.

Erskine Bowles – Clinton’s former chief of staff and Obama’s debt commissioner had this to say about Paul Ryan and his budget: “Have any of you met Paul Ryan? We should get him to come to the university. I’m telling you this guy is amazing, uh. I always thought that I was OK with arithmetic, but this guy can run circles around me. And, he is honest. He is straightforward. He is sincere. And, the budget that he came forward with is just like Paul Ryan. It is a sensible, straightforward, serious budget and it cut the budget deficit by $4 trillion…just like we did.”

Michelle Obama – The first lady lectured gold medalist gymnast Gabby Douglas on Jay Leno about eating an Egg McMuffin.

Obama's Lowlights (8/20/12)

Corporate Welfare - According to Cato, the most spending on “corporate welfare” programs in the federal budget -- more than $25 billion -- went to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. A majority of the department’s farm subsidies go to the largest farms, the report noted. The Department of Energy is responsible for nearly $18 billion in corporate welfare in FY 2012. Other programs to make the list: the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s Community Development Block Grant program ($285 million); the Commerce Department’s Broadband Technology Opportunities Program ($2.2 billion); attempts by Transportation Department policymakers to develop a high-speed rail network ($1.2 billion) and the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management ($1.4 billion) land-use programs.

Wealth Tax – As a massive tax of 75% is being planned on the wealthy in France, it could backfire and lead to a mass exodus from the country. The same can happen in the U.S. as more and more people are rescinding their citizenship because of high taxes.

Nuclear Power - The government is suspending permits and license extensions for nuclear power plants, which account for 18% of the country’s electricity, until issues concerning disposal of nuclear waste are resolved.

Health Care - The founder and CEO of Papa John’s warned they will have to raise the price of its pizzas due to President Obama’s health care law.

Gas Prices - With gas and oil prices rising, rail shipping is making a comeback in America.

Welfare - Over 100 million people in the United States are receiving some form of federal welfare.

Taxes – An inspector general report claims 4.2 billion dollars in child tax credits were issued to illegal aliens.

Allen West - A Democratic lawmaker says Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) offended the entire Congressional Black Caucus by delivering Chick-fil-A chicken and biscuits to their weekly meeting -- and then walking out -- when it was his turn to provide the group with a formal lunch. In other news the American Sunrise Super PAC released a TV ad featuring Rep. Allen West wearing boxing gloves and beating up white women in a boxing ring. He is also featured stealing money from a black family.

Cancer Ad – The Obama campaign denies any knowledge of the appalling Obama Super PAC commercial that claimed Romney was to blame for a former Bain employee (Joe Soptic) wife’s death. However, information has come forward that the campaign has once again lied and were fully aware of the story back in May. In other developments, Soptic admits he was offered a buy out from Bain and was not just laid off. In fact, Bain helped the Soptic family with other financial issues. Yet, the Obama campaign is condemning Republican Super PAC attacks on his economic record.

New Jersey – Governor Chris Christie signed the teacher tenure reform legislation into law which will no longer protect bad teachers.

ObamaCare - Currently, according to CBO, there are 53 million uninsured persons in the United States, including uninsured illegal aliens. The CBO estimates that in 2022--8 years after the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented--30 million people will remain uninsured.

Bailouts – Obama wants to bailout all struggling industries: “I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry.”

Obama's Lowlights (8/16/12)

Network News – A study found that 6 of 7 stories on ABC, NBC, and CBS news stations about Romney’s overseas trip were negative and focused on blunders.

Ohio – The DNC and Ohio Democratic Party are trying to change a new voting law that provides military servicemen more time to vote.

Romney Taxes - The ruthless Senate majority leader sees political gold in his attack on Romney — and he’s got the blessing from President Barack Obama’s campaign for the attack, even if he lacks evidence on Romney’s failure to pay taxes. In fact, a Reid spokesman says Barack Obama is his credible source for his attacks. To make matters worse, Reid and Pelosi both refuse to release their tax returns. I think the reason that Romney, Reid, and Pelosi do not want to release their taxes is because they are all very wealthy. This will show Reid and Pelosi are hypocrites and it would give credence to Obama’s argument that Romney is out of touch. To counter, the Romney camp should demand that Obama’s Columbia university records be unsealed and released to the public.

Hatred – Glenn Thrash, who writes for Politico, reveals that Obama has a strong “hatred” towards Romney in his book “Obama’s Last Stand.”

Campaign – Romney outraised Obama in July 101 million dollars to 75 million dollars. In other news, a recent Gallup survey of registered voters conducted July 23-29 found that 92 percent of Americans who voted for McCain in 2008 plan to vote for Romney this fall and just 5 percent have switched sides to support Obama. But among Obama's 2008 supporters, just 86 percent are planning to do so again and 9 percent are switching their support to Romney.

Gun Control – There was another massacre this past week in Wisconsin by a White Supremacist and therefore, there has been another call by liberal leaders for tighter gun control laws.

Greece – The cash strapped country is cracking down on illegal immigrants who cost the country millions in welfare expenditures each year.

Super PAC – Obama releases a Super PAC ad that says he disagrees with Super PAC ads. And here is another desperate ad by an Obama Super PAC: “When Mitt Romney and Bain closed the plant, I lost my healthcare, and my family lost their healthcare. And a short time after that my wife became ill ... And she passed away in 22 days. I do not think Mitt Romney realizes what he’s done to anyone, and furthermore I do not think Mitt Romney is concerned.” I can make the same claim that government run Medicare killed my father.

Iran - A British bank (Standard Charter) schemed with the Iranian government to launder $250 billion from 2001 to 2007, leaving the United States' financial system "vulnerable to terrorists," New York's financial regulator charged this past week.

Civility - "This is the E. coli club,” Pelosi said of the Republicans in reference to their view on women.

Obama's Lowlights (8/13/12)

Economy – The economy added 163 thousand jobs but the June jobs forecast was revised lower to 64 thousand jobs and the unemployment rate went up 8.3%. If that is not bad enough 155 thousand people stopped looking for work and the real unemployment rate is at 15%.

Illegal Immigration - The Obama administration released illegal immigrants who went on to commit more crimes, including charges of 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the House Judiciary Committee said in a report this past week. All told, the nearly 47,000 illegal immigrants the administration was notified of but declined to deport between 2008 and 2011 under its Secure Communities program had a recidivism rate of 16 percent, the committee said.

Chevyvoltville - Maybe it should be renamed "Chevrolet Volt-ville." The largest concentration of Chevrolet Volts in the country will play a key role in helping Austin, Texas residents in a 700-acre planned community as they test the impact of "smart homes" and other green technology, like electronic vehicles. The government is going to fund the project using millions of taxpayer dollars.

Negative Campaigns – Obama had this say about negative campaigns in 2007 “If I find out that somebody is doing that, they will be fired. And I have been absolutely crystal clear about this, and I have been clear about this for a very long time. That’s not what I believe in, that’s not who I am.”

Chick Fil-A – Following record breaking business days at many Chick-Fil-A fast food chains around the country the National Same Sex Kiss Day was held August 3rd at a Chick-fil-A near you! In other news, Adam Smith, who is reportedly an adjunct lecturer at the University of Arizona, made it a point to visit a local Chick Fil-A so he could milk the company for a free water while verbally assaulting a nice young woman working there. This episode was caught on video and cost Smith his job.

Solyndra – The former CEO of the defunct company called the Obama White House the “Bank of Washington” in an email.

Fast and Furious - Former Deputy Director of ATF William Hoover submitted his resignation after the House Oversight Committee released a scathing report this week about his role in and responsibility for Operation Fast and Furious.

Harry Reid – The Senate Majority Leader called Mitt Romney a felon on the senate floor with no evidence.

IRS - The Internal Revenue Service may have delivered more than $5 billion in refund checks to identity thieves who filed fraudulent tax returns for 2011, Treasury Department investigators said last week.

Defense - A nuclear bomb facility in Tennessee was temporarily shut down, after experiencing a security breach when 3 protesters broke through its surrounding fencing and reached a building storing highly enriched uranium. The protesters painted slogans onto the building before security personnel were able to intervene. According to security, the breach was, “the worst we’ve ever seen.”

Israel - Defense Secretary Leon Panetta met with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu last week. The Israeli Prime Minister told Panetta that time is running out for the international community to step in and end Iran’s nuclear program peacefully.

Internet - The House voted unanimously to fight efforts to give the UN more control of the internet.

Education - A poorly performing Michigan public school district has turned over its 3 schools to a private, for-profit charter school company in hopes of improving academic quality for its students.

Obama's Lowlights (8/9/12)

Economy – The Commerce Department confirms fears that the American economy will continue to struggle in the future. The reported GDP growth rate from April to June is 1.5%, reflecting a decrease in consumer spending.

EuroZone – Unemployment rate for the Eurozone in June was still at record levels - 11.1%.

Regulation - House Republicans are set to pass an anti-regulation bill that would freeze major government regulations until the unemployment rate falls to 6 percent.

Planned Parenthood – Twenty-Four year old Tonya Reaves died after Planned Parenthood botched her abortion.

Elizabeth Warren – According to the Boston Globe, Warren (the falsified Native American) will give the keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention. However, it was announced that Julian Castro (Mayor of San Antonio Texas) will give the keynote address. Also, Joe Biden has been booted as a headline speaker in favor of Bill Clinton.

New York – Mayor Bloomberg is trying to get hospitals to stop offering baby formula in an attempt to force women to breastfeed.

Penn State – The NCAA punished the football team saying the Sandusky pedophilia case showed that football and winning was more important than anything else. Well, kudos to all those Penn State football players that are staying put proving to the NCAA and other vulture NCAA football coaches trying to get players to transfer that winning and football is not the most important thing at Penn State. In fact, Paterno would have never tried to get players transfer to Penn State from a sanctioned school. Let’s face facts, the NCAA actions against Penn State are not different than how the Obama administration acts in most instances – they both abuse their power and overstep their legal bounds.

War on Women – The New York Times published an Op-Ed attempting to reintroduce this silly liberal storyline back into the campaign again in large part because of GOP opposition to the contraceptive mandate in ObamaCare and their reluctance to fund Planned Parenthood.

DOJ - A Federal DC Judge confirmed that President Obama's political appointees in the Department of Justice did in fact interfere with the prosecution of two New Black Panther party members after they were filmed outside of a Philadelphia polling place in 2008 wielding a billy club and intimidating voters.

Guns – The UN arms treaty has died, but is going to be revisited again in the near future.

Louisiana – The state teachers union is pushing for litigation against schools that are part of the state voucher program.

Israel – White House Press secretary Jay Carney refuses to say what city is the capital of Israel – Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

Fast and Furious - Congressional investigators have concluded that five senior ATF officials are collectively responsible for the failed Fast and Furious gun-tracking operation.

Post Office - U.S. Postal Service likely to default on a $5.6 billion payment it owes to the U.S. Treasury.

Education - Washington, DC is paying 305 students with poor academic and behavioral records $5.25 an hour to attend summer school.

Obama's Lowlights (8/6/12)

Economy - U.S. manufacturing growth in July slowed to its most sluggish pace since December 2010.  Economists worry that a decrease in manufacturing could be a symptom of a dangerous loss of economic momentum. Also, U.S. economic growth slowed to 1.5% in the second quarter. In other news, Ford’s profit dropped 57 percent in the second quarter.

General Motors – The car company still owes the government (taxpayers) 42 billion of 50 billion dollars in loans.

New York - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is considering adding on a 'green fee' on each new MetroCard to encourage riders to recycle their cards.

Gun Control – In the aftermath of the Aurora massacre, President Obama has flipped flopped and now says he is seeking more gun control laws.

Climate Change - The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change produced a global warming model that blamed humans and predicted a global climate catastrophe. Now though, many scientists are retracting their cataclysmic predictions and reassuring the public that there is nothing to worry about and that no report proves that carbon emissions harm the Earth’s climate.

Germany - Germany’s credit rating is likely to drop from AAA. Moody’s credit rating agency has pronounced Germany’s credit rating outlook to be negative, which often precedes downgrades.

Gay Porn - One of the "bundlers" who has raised $50,000 to $100,000 for the Barack Obama presidential campaign is Terrence Bean, who once controlled the biggest producer of gay porn in America.

Federal Reserve – Are government audits coming for the Federal Reserve? The House of Representatives has passed legislation, in bipartisan fashion, to do just that but unfortunately it is expected to die as soon as it reaches the Senate floor. However, most Democrats are against the audit because they do not want to make it like they meddle in financial issues. Really?

Virginia Voter Fraud - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign is asking Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to launch an investigation into voter-registration forms that are being sent to Virginia residents and addressed to deceased relatives, children, family pets and others ineligible to vote.

Senate Cafeteria - Senate food service workers voted not to join a union (Service Employees International Union- SEIU affiliated local).

TSA – The government organization has gotten an injection in funding and now will be patrolling bus and train stations.

Election Enthusiasm – The latest Gallup polls show Democratic enthusiasm as its lowest levels since the 2000 election and Republicans at their highest point since 2000.

Obamaisms - "Just like we've tried their plan, we tried our plan, and it worked...that's why I'm running for a second term." “Mr. Romney wants to get rid of funding for Planned Parenthood. I think that is a bad idea,” Obama said. “I’ve got two daughters. I want them to control their own health care choices. We’re not going backwards, we’re going forwards.”

USDA – Caving to pressure from farmers and dairy producers the USDA retracts its call for “Meatless Mondays” – the latest initiative pushed by the UN.

Obama's Lowlights (8/2/12)

Death Tax - On January 1, the death tax is set to climb to as high as 55 percent — among the highest rates in the world — with the amount exempted from tax dropping to just $1 million.

ObamaCare - Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) pledged to block conservative efforts to vote on the repeal of Obamacare and to block the Obama tax hikes.

FDA - The FDA said that baby bottles and children’s drinking cups could no longer contain the chemical bisphenol A, or BPA. Its decision was a response to a request by the American Chemistry Council urging that BPA in those products be phased out, in part to boost consumer confidence.

Gun Control – It did not take long after the Colorado massacre for those on the left to call for gun control. But the call for gun control backfires since background checks for people wanting to buy guns in Colorado reportedly increased more than 41 percent after last week’s Aurora movie massacre. Even Mexico got in the act, lecturing the U.S. on guns (yes, the same country that has tens of thousands of people die each year from guns): "Because of the Aurora, Colorado tragedy, the American Congress must review its mistaken legislation on guns. It's doing damage to us all," Mexican President Calderon said. NY City Mayor Bloomberg got into the debate by saying police officers should not protect Americans until gun control is enacted.

Fundraising – We hear all this talk that Romney is outspending Obama. President Obama spent $58 million in June and still has almost $100 million on hand for more. Romney? He spent a paltry (by comparison) $33 million, and only has $22.5 million left to spend. In other news, Obama’s 185 fundraising event was with 60 of his wealthiest supporters in San Francisco, including two figures at the center of the Solyndra loan controversy.

Obama Enemy List – Top contributors to the Romney campaign are facing IRS and Department of Labor audits of their taxes and workplace.

Chick-Fil-A – Boston Mayor (Thomas Menino) had this to say about the company who has been donating money to pro family organizations: “Chick-Fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston. You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population. We’re an open city; we’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion.” What’s worse, the supposedly anti-gay comments made by Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy as reported by MSM never happened. MSM made it up.

Tax Fairness - A new report just out from the Internal Revenue Service reveals that 36 of President Obama's executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. But the White House expects to increase taxes on the wealthy.

Border Security - Two Seattle men say they spent more than two hours in a detention center at the Canadian border after U.S. border agents discovered illegal chocolate eggs in their car.

US Forest Service - The City of Tombstone is squaring off against the U.S. Forest Service over water rights in a fight to rescue “The Town Too Tough to Die.” Citing the Wilderness Act, the Forest Service is refusing to allow the city to repair its waterlines to mountain springs it has owned for nearly seventy years – and which date back to the 1880s. This refusal is threatening residents, private property and public safety with the risk of a total loss of fire protection and safe drinking water.

Budget and Deficit – It has been over 1100 days since Congress passed a budget and our deficit, for the fifth straight year, has gone over 1 trillion dollars.

Obama's Lowlights (7/30/12)

ObamaCare – A CNN report claims under the employer mandate, businesses with 50 or more full-time employees have to provide coverage or pay a $2,000 penalty for every worker minus the first 30. Growing businesses have discovered that expanding their workforce beyond 50 fulltime workers is simply too burdensome. In order to survive, many of these companies will have to either scale back the hours of existing employees so that they are no longer classified as fulltime or let them go altogether.

Chuck Schumer – While discussing the Disclosure Act, Schumer said there should be limits to the first amendment. These are the same Democrats that pushed for the first amendment to also cover freedom of expression so it is legal to burn the American Flag. They made their bed, they should sleep in it.

Filibuster – Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, is now openly promising to pass filibuster reform in the beginning of the next Congress if Democrats manage to hold onto a simple majority in the Senate and if Obama is reelected.

Navy Seals – Former members of Team Six have formed a Super PAC to take down Obama claiming he took credit for the Osama Bin Laden killing for political gain. “The President has failed and he is jeopardizing the safety of our troops, their families and our National security for political gain. Obama has exposed the identity of special operations units, leaked classified information, and limited the rules of engagement of forces on the ground,” said Mr. Zinke. “For those who have taken an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, it is a call of duty to take back America from a Commander-in-Chief that is incapable of understanding the sacrifices that have been made for the values that have made America great.”

Jobs - President Barack Obama’s Jobs Council hasn’t met publicly for six months because the President claims he is too busy. However, apparently not busy enough to skip a golf outing though.

Steny Hoyer - House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Tuesday that food stamps and unemployment insurance are the two "most stimulative" things you can do for the economy.

DOE – The Department of Energy was given 2 billion dollars in stimulus funds to spend on battery making companies, but the department admits to misplacing about a half million dollars in this program.

TSA – Twenty-Five illegal aliens have attended flight school since a “weakness” in TSA’s Alien Flight Student Program, noted by GAO, is that it does not check for immigration status.

Romney’s Taxes - Facing questions about why she and other top Congressional officials won’t release their tax returns, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) downplayed her previous demands for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release his, calling the issue a distraction

Harry Reid - If solar panel production at the Amonix’s Nevada facility permanently ceases, it could prove awkward for Harry Reid, who touted the “permanent green jobs” that the Amonix business supposedly represented. The company laid off 200 employees in January.

Ford - Ford Motor Co. is telling owners of one version of the brand-new Ford Escape not to drive the SUVs until dealers can fix fuel lines that can crack and spill gasoline, causing engine fires.

Aurora CO Shooting – “The Colorado Tea Party Patriots and the Tea Party Patriots are saddened to hear of the death and wounding of theater goers in Aurora, Colorado. The member of the Colorado Tea Party Patriots, Jim Holmes, age 52 is not the same person who has been identified as the shooter. The attempts of some media organizations to characterize the shooter as a Tea Party member without having made any effort to contact our organization are shameless and reprehensible.”

Syria - Russia and China vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Syria for the third time, sparking outrage by the Western nations which demanded sanctions against President Bashar al-Assad.

Olympics - Olympic officials are wondering if McDonald's should continue sponsoring the Olympics. Health campaigners have attacked the London games for its links with the fast-food restaurant and brands such as Coca-Cola that they say contribute to obesity.

Obama's Lowlights (7/26/12)

Title IX – The Obama administration is going to use Title IX to make sure there is equal representation between women and men in math, science, and engineering fields.

Voter ID – The Obama administration is reluctantly abiding by a federal court ruling to allow Florida access to data to purge their voting rosters of illegal voters.

Obama Campaign - the Nevada Journal reports that several local governments are having trouble getting the campaign to pick up the tab for campaign stops-in 2008. Taxpayers have been on the hook for thousands of dollars in campaign expenses. Obama’s “Wedding Fundraiser” is also a flop – the campaign was trying to get people to donate to the campaign in lieu of a gift.

ObamaCare – The Federal Trade Commission says there have been numerous scams and fraud regarding ObamaCare implementation since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of legislation.

Egypt - Protesters threw tomatoes and shoes at U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's motorcade during her first visit to Egypt since the election of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

Felons – The Obama camp has accused Romney of being a felon. Meanwhile, the Obama campaign has taken money from felons including Alberto and Carlos Cardona, Shervin Neman, John Corzine, and Courtney Dupree.

Obamaisms – This past week Obama told small businesses that “they did not build that, [the government] made it happen”. He also said if he was running against himself he would attack his economic record. In his campaign appearances he also made reference to the word “investment” which is code for more government spending. Obama also claimed on the stump that our health insurance premiums will go down under ObamaCare (I know mine has gone up – a bunch).

Economy – Retail sales unexpectedly fell 0.5% in June. Also, Ben Bernanke delivered a dismal report on the economy to Congress.

Voter Fraud - The Voter Participation Center (Liberal Group) works with a vendor that has access to multiple commercial databases that could include people who subscribe to magazines or junk mail using names of their pet, said Page Gardner, the group's president. She said the nonprofit tries its best to target only eligible and unregistered voters but that some other names inevitably get on the final list.

Tax War - Democrats in the U.S. Congress warned they are prepared to let all Bush-era tax cuts expire on December 31 if Republicans continue to insist on extending lower rates for top earners. Ernst and Young released a study funded by pro-business groups hostile to the Democrat's agenda. The firm's results showed that Obama's proposed tax hikes on the wealthy could cost the already sputtering economy more than 700,000 jobs.

Law of the Sea Treaty – Democrats are moving for the ratification of the 1982 UN resolution. The Law of the Sea Convention defines the rights and responsibilities of nations in their use of the world's oceans, establishing guidelines for businesses, the environment, and the management of marine natural resources. Fortunately, Republicans are on board to defeat the measure and defend U.S. sovereignty.

Fast and Furious – An incident report about the Brian Terry killing indicates the suspected killers were caught, but released.

Disclosure Act - Senate conservatives blocked passage of the DISCLOSE Act, a campaign finance law that would have imposes onerous new limitations on free speech.
