Obama's Lowlights (10/17/09)

Stimulus – With unemployment up to 9.8% the White House and congressional Democrats are getting nervous. Now, they are thinking about a second stimulus. This would be a colossal mistake of enormous proportions. If anything, they should repeal the part of the first stimulus that has not been paid out and rework that. It makes no sense to spend billions more when the first plan is not working. Before passing another stimulus, congress must consider that the nation already faces hyperinflation and a crumbling dollar.

Senator Udall – My latest update from our Senator said that he liked the Baucus bill because it is fiscally responsible and does not add to the deficit. But he also said he would like to see a public option which is not part of the Baucus bill. That means his idea may not be fiscally responsible without more raised taxes on middle class Americans. Udall is obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer if he thinks raising taxes, especially during a recession, is going to help Americans. He is also naïve to think more government control and interference will yield a credible result. The government has destroyed and bankrupted everything it has tried to run. Coloradans need to vote Udall out in 5 years.

ObamaCare – The Senate is trying to combine the Baucus bill with a public option proposal. The Baucus bill passed in the Senate finance committee (14-9). It will be interesting the result and the subsequent CBO scoring of the combined bill. This will be the bill that the Democrats will try to push through both houses to become law. Obama called the Baucus bill bipartisan because it got one vote from the GOP (Olympia Snow). Obama praised Snow for being able to cross party lines to join Democrats.

GOP Web Page – Good news for Obama and the Democrats, the GOP still does not get it. If you want to see an amateur website, staring Chairman Michael Steele, that gives Democrats around the country hope, go to GOP.com.

Fox News – The Obama administration is going after Fox News. It is not a good idea for any president to declare war on any media outlet. They will not be able to win this battle. This only illustrates Obama’s arrogance. Obama simply cannot imagine that anyone or any corporation could actually question his policies and believes. The media is there to keep politicians honest. Can you imagine the public outcry if Bush declared war on MSNBC, ABC, and CBS? There is absolutely nothing wrong with a media outlet providing a different point of view that liberal outlets ignore. Besides, Obama aide Anita Dunn, who publicly started the war, claims one of her political heroes is Mao Tse-tung. The Mao Tse-tung killing spree and genocide would make Adolf Hitler look like a saint.
