ObamaCare – The White House has provided waivers to 30 companies and unions so they can keep providing their healthcare insurance to employees and members. This is more evidence that this legislation is going to create havoc on the healthcare industry.
National Security Advisor – Jim Jones is the latest member of the Obama White House that is leaving his post.
Rory Reid – The son of Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, and the Democratic nominee for the Nevada governorship is on the record stating that Obamacare would be bad for Nevada. Rory is trying to distance himself from his father’s policies.
New York – The state is spending 27 million dollars to replace all street signs, even those that are not damaged.
Taxing the Tax – Many cities are charging a 1% surcharge to collect taxes.
Solar Power – The Obama administration has approved the building of two massive solar power plants on federal land, both in California. Does it really make sense to pursue an expensive energy source where technology does not exist to store the energy?
Military – Suicide rates have more than doubled due to the pressures of fighting two wars with multiple deployments. In other news, many military personnel from New York and Illinois may not get their election ballots in time and therefore, be denied the right to vote.
Chamber of Commerce – Democrats and Obama on the campaign trail have been attacking the Chamber of Commerce and accusing them of using foreign contributions to fund campaign ads. Thus far there has been no proof of this supposed activity and records indicate that the Democratic National Committee has received more money from foreign contributors than the Republican National Committee.
Insider Trading – Apparently this practice is widespread amongst congressional staffers and the SEC continues to look the other way. These are staffers for congressional members who routinely bash businesses for their ethics and greed. Talk about hypocrisy.
Unemployment – Over 3000 millionaires received over 18 million dollars in unemployment benefits in 2008.
Incumbents – The Democratic National Committee has stopped financing 3 house races (Steve Driehaus – Ohio, Kathy Dahlkemper – Pennsylvania, and Suzanne Kosmas – Florida). They have also cut funding on a few open seats in Indiana, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. This is sign they are conceding defeat in these 10 races come November.
Oil Moratorium – Obama has lifted the ban on deep water oil drilling but the damage has been done. It is estimated that the ban cost the Gulf Coast states up to 2 billion dollars of revenue in their economy. The moratorium hit Gulf States hard at a time when the oil leak was costing them billions more in revenue.
Shovel Ready Jobs – After touting the stimulus and Shovel Ready Jobs, Obama admitted this week he found out there is really no such thing as a Shovel Ready Job. This is what happens when we put liberal elitists who have not worked or created a manufacturing job in their lives in charge. It is strange how Obama is pushing a second stimulus of shovel ready jobs. Does this man ever learn from his mistakes?
