Obama's Lowlights (4/23/10)

National Security Policy – Barack “Politically Correct” Obama is changing the language in national security policies so they do not offend Muslims.

Education – There has been more studies on paying kids to go to school and to get good grades. The U.S. taxpayer already pays more dollars per student than any other country in the world; they do not need to pay children to do what they are supposed to do.

Iraq – Just weeks ago Joe Biden was saying that a stable and democratic Iraq may be the White Houses greatest achievement. However, the month after Iraq held its election, the country has been marred with violence. It will be interesting to see how Obama responds to this. This is also a lesson on why the U.S. military should not be advertising exit strategies. On the bright side, U.S. and Iraqi forces have killed the top two al-Qaida operatives in Iraq.

Crash the Tea Party – This is a new left wing strategy to recruit people to attend the Tea Parties and then behave inappropriately to give the Tea Party movement a bad reputation. This is a desperate strategy by liberals who see Tea Party members as a threat to the progressive ideology.

ObamaCare – As more information becomes known about this legislation the worst it sounds. Newspapers around the country are doing stories on doctor shortages, higher insurance premiums, and the extra burden this will put on already struggling corporations and the individual states. The NY Times also wrote a piece that Congressional members are upset with the ‘disruptions’ caused by the new healthcare legislation on them. In other news on this subject, Republican Ron Paul has introduced a one page bill to eliminate the mandate in the legislation.

SEIU – Union head Andy Stern is rumored to be stepping down from his post. What will Obama do now that the most frequent guest of White House is no longer available to push his agenda?

Financial Regulation – This is the Democrats next big reform: They want regulate the private sector, but refuse to include government run Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in their reform. This is stupid considering Fannie and Freddie continue to receive bailout money while the private sector has turned the corner and is once again profitable. Meanwhile, Obama’s speech on financial reform was his typical good cop / bad cop delivery. While he bashed the banks for irresponsible behavior (it is ironic that Obama is preaching fiscal responsibility to anyone) at the same time he asked them to support his reform.

Debt – Ben Bernanke testified before Congress saying that our national debt is in a dire situation and by 2020 the United States can be paying 1 trillion annually on the interest alone. That would make interest the biggest portion of our national budget.

Obama’s Popularity – Recent polls not only have Obama at his lowest approval levels, but he is in a dead heat against former President Bush and Congressman Ron Paul.

Obama’s Tax Return – He made 5.5 million last year and gave 6% of his income to charity. This is up from less than 1% when he was a cheap state Senator. He is starting to practice his belief of spreading the wealth, but keep in mind the average American, who makes far less than Obama, gives about 4% to charity.

Bill Clinton – He is the latest ignorant liberal to compare the Tea Party movement to the Oklahoma City bombing.
